I was about to say I've never heard of it, but I checked my shelf and it was sitting right there -- it must be one I never got around to reading.
After a quick Google search, I just learnt that Point Horror, as a series, only really came about in '91. As Blind Date is from '86 I'm guessing it was just a thriller added as a PH title later as it was by the master himself, Stine, and seemed a good fit for the series.
I can't wait to read it now and see what it's like. Last year I read Caroline B. Cooney's The Fog/Snow/Fire trilogy, which is also not technically part of PH, and I thought they too had a different feel from the more traditional PH books (still good though).
Carmen :)
Does anyone remember Blind Date (R L Stine) being out in the UK? I know I never read it as a tween and don't remember seeing it back then either, I just wondered whether anyone else had any recollection of it? It's listed on here and on Wikipedia as the first PH book released.
I've actually just finished reading it for the first time and there are definitely some interesting differences between this and what became the PH staple - has anyone else read?
thanks
