I'm not sure who all in on board and this far along, but I thought I'd continue our discussion. Join in when you get this far.

A lot of little things, seeming unrelated to me at this point, have been occurring. One serious one is the death of Thomas, who may or may not have held some sort of secret about the past (or the present, it's a secret, remember!)

I still don't understand the significance of the hole in the wall, what happened to the person who vanished just as Gertrude showed up with some slight injury, and why it is that the Armstrong suddenly wants Rachel to leave the house she is renting (is something hidden there?)

Jamieson is certainly involving Rachel way more than we are used to with our amateur detectives. Perhaps using her wold be a better description. Ah, well, better for the story.

I'm about 2/3 rds through and I'd like to finish up before I forget things. I should have made a list of characters in the beginning, to help me sort through the confusion.

When I get home from work I'll check where I am. I think I'm somewhere around chapter 18 or 19!

I was sad that Thomas died. I really do believe he was frightened to death! This book has me guessing...

Oh, and I'd like to add that if I could go back in time I'd use a notebook and write down the character names....there are so many!

I too should've started and kept a list. Lots of characters. Author packed lots of material into this story.

As I read on, nothing strikes a memory. I thought I read this book years ago but it seems not. I'll be alright. lol

I think I'm going to re-read it after I've finished and pay closer attention, lol!

I finished last night, so I'll start the final section soon. I know not everyone is that far yet, though, but start in when you are!
