That cover - am I the only one who thought Tiger and Del look a bit like some weird 70s folk-rock combo (minus the swords, obviously)? Can totally picture Tiger singing 'Don't Stop' by Fleetwood Mac.

I know! Every time I look at these covers the music from the Final Countdown plays in my head.

I think the cover for Sword-Sworn is worse - that made me think 'Oh, Tiger - what has that nasty artist done to you?!'

I started today, since I am so overwhelmed with RL these days, I wasn't sure I would be able to fit it in if I waited too much longer...

Up to Ch. 8... Tiger is starting to grow in character as well, not just be one of the free-loving and fighting guys, but I guess this is what happens when some ancient wizard lives in your blade and constantly fights you for it.

I still love the Stud moist of all!!! And I know nothing much has happened yet, but the way this author tells the story, it is still entertaining just having them be on the run... This series is really becoming very dear to my heart, because it entertains me with not much drama or angst:) Love that right now!

I am loving this one! I have been sneaking in reading time every moment I can, and honestly would read none-stop if I wasn't so tired after the day...

This young challenger should learn a lesson - there are consequences when you know you are not good enough to challenge a master to a duel, not just stalk off resentfully...

I completely understand why Del is on guard against him right now - that wizard is sneaky as hell!!! I would be keeping my distance as well... It is only smart!

Up to Chapter eleven. It's like coming back to old friends. I really like the humor in these books. Really lightens up the mood when it occasionally gets serious.

This one is my favorite so far, I think. It has some very tense moments, but I love that overall, it looks like Tiger has really changed and is having a heck of a time getting used to his "home" in the Punja again. Our wild, i-don't-give-a-damn sward-dancer seems to be growing up for real now:)

Loved it! I really appreciated that ending (view spoiler)[ especially for Del; breaking her sword - more than making amends for her attempt to sell Tiger to the sword school I'd say, and was symbolic of that part of her life being over - as Tiger said, those songs were sung.. And Tiger making himself an outcast by foreswearing the oaths of a sword-dancer - I thought it really showed that both the characters had done a lot of growing up since we first met them.

I'm hopeful that there'll be healing for both of them in the next book, as well as more adventures. I'm looking forward to it! (hide spoiler)]

Agree completely!!! I am really loving this series sooo much!!!

A bit late to the party but I got to finish it also. I loved this one more than the others.
Del softens up and Tiger grows up and their relationship evolves. And don't let me get started on the Stud! He almost steals the show at times.

I found the part with counting days after the kick in the head sort of hillarious in a very dark morbid way. And I loved the end. Both of them sacrifice what is most valuable to them for each other?! I wouldn't have expected that from any of them in the previous books but both of them changed so much in this instalment...

And I love the clear slate and new beginning with both now being quite the same. I'm really looking forward to see what comes next.

I'm still working my way through this one. got caught up in another series and have been very bad with my buddy reads. 😕
I will finish it before the next installment though and join you all again. 😊 I really enjoy these books! I'm glad you're all enjoying this one.

Just finished the last book of Lunar Chronicles so picking this one up again and hopefully the other buddy read tonight or tomorrow as well. Not sure I'm ready to jump into something new yet. I need to process what I just finished so it's back to my faithful Tiger and Del! 😄
