I will be doing Song for Arbonne with the Kay Squad.
Also, Sword-Singer.

Ironhand Daughter was meant to be the new series of the month, but I am also tempted by the Grace of Kings and Mistborn. We'll see.

Also people should consider NOT starting the reads the first of the month. Their 6 reads starting on that day and 9 the rest of the month. Even a slight stagger helps for people who usually read a few at a time and would like to participate in more than one.

That's why I suggested the 8th or 15th when I brought up Arcanum Unbound in the Invite thread... I was just looking at this thread a few hours ago...

Hello! Newbie here. Excited to jump in on:

Surprisingly the only one I'm doing is guns of the dawn in October since my other reads for the month will be dragon reborn and stone of farewell hopefully

Hmm... I didn't have it on my master then Scott, guess I missed it!

I seem to be busy with buddy reads every other month at the moment... only Temeraire in October... don't want to sign up for too much when I've already committed to alot in 2018... Temeraire, Malazan, and wrapping up Illuminae, Menagerie, and hopefully Gentleman Bastard...

A lot of good ones this month! I've previously read (and loved) City of Stairs, Name of the Wind, Final Empire, and Ysabel. Looking forward to my first foray into Gemmell's works with the Ironhand's Daughter buddy read.

I'm looking forward to dragonmaster and human division by scalzi! :)

I made that mistake in August, booking everything like crazy for the first of the month...

Me too! I'm really interested in a lot of the books with a 10/1 start date but I can't do them all.

No way I can do City of Stairs, Throne of Jade AND The Pillars of the Earth all on 10/1. A choice of some sort will have to be made.
And definitely not do that and still be ready for Something Wicked This Way Comes on 10/25.

Now that we have Margret's master list, it should make it easier to plan new reads around others already scheduled. I've been checking it now to make sure there's no conflict haha. I overbook enough as is. :)

With my more recent buddy reads I've tried to start setting them for a later date or suggesting a later date so the start of the month isn't so jam packed. That being said this coming month I have two scheduled to start on the 1st, but Pillars of the Earth I figure is going to take most of the month anyway.

I have Throne of Jade and The Name of the Wind. I was thinking of reading The Pillars of the Earth too, but it would be to much.

I'm on board this month for The Pillars of the Earth only - so far. I was going to try to squeeze in City of Stairs but I can't get a copy from my local bookstore, they're all sold out! Instead I bought The Emperor's Blades to be read at a later date! Other than that, I'm feeling Empire of Night, The Drawing of the Three, The King Beyond the Gate, and possibly Sojourn with Laura if the stars align! ;-D Happy Reading to all!

I've read a hundred pages of enporers blade before I put it down (not the right time to read it you see Chris) but from what I read it's pretty interesting with some cool stuff like birds....

I'm hoping to read The Drawing of the Three soon too. Reckon I might not get time until November though.

Margret, can you move Pillars of the Earth to the 7th and change on the Master List. It's an all month read, but just makes it easier for the bookshelf with updating books given how clogged up the start of the month always is. Thanks.

City of Stairs and The Blade Itself have me really exited this month. If I can, I'll try catch up with the WoT read with The Great Hunt, but I'm not sure if I'll get to it.

Nikki said that she's like to run a buddy read of that book since I told her that I bought it the other day. Maybe we can organize a date to read it together, then it would free up some of your time this month! Just a thought, let me know.

Are you talking about The Emperor's Blades? Because I'm still totally down for that in December.

I set up the proposal. The initial date is set Dec 15th. Does that give you enough time?
