The Opposite of Loneliness
question
"The Opposite of Loneliness"

Marina Keegan's essay "The Opposite of Loneliness" was written specifically for her Yale graduation in 2012, and when she mentions "The hats" she's refering the college's Class Day tradition of seniors wearing Creative , colorful hats. Yet, I have found its message to be universal, evoking my own days at college, at summer camp, or in any other community related event. What do you think makes Keegan's words apply to any group of people who have found a powerful sense of connection? What would you define as your own personal opposite of loneliness?
