I love how the book gives a bit more (view spoiler)[like at Daenerys and Khal's wedding there were 12 deaths while in the show I think they showed only one or two. Viserys seems more of an asshat in the books too. And the Dothraki seem to make fun of him more too. (hide spoiler)]

I also picture him differently while reading the books. I don't see him as the actor who played him. I don't know why but I do.

Ok, is it just me or is Lady Stark more annoying in the book? I'm glad they made her more bearable in the show!

I always thought she was annoying too. I didn't like her in the show or the book.

Chapters 1-17: I'm really enjoying this. I like how it's 3rd person but also told from a certain person's point of view. (view spoiler)[I've gotten to the part where they kill Lady, which I think was totally pointless. Also like Robert is the king, he can 100% override Cersie (I don't know if I spelled that right). Which brings me to another point; I really fucking hate Cersie and Joffrey. Just saying. Arya is my favorite of the Stark kids and Joffrey deserves to be pummeled by her. How is it that no one has called Little finger out or killed him? He is so shady.

Reading this after watching the tv series. I love this so much more. And I still don't like Sansa. She is to much of a spoiled brat but glad she comes to her senses at the end. (view spoiler)[ I mean who would want to marry the asshat who murdered your father on a false charge? (hide spoiler)]

I'm nearly finished. I think I'll read the last pages this evening. For now I think the book and the TV series complement each other.
