Hope you enjoy your books, Delitealex.

message 11: by Delitealex (new)

Delitealex | 335 comments Finished Parable of the Sower (Earthseed, #1) by Octavia E. Butler pretty harsh but believable future. I'm glad I finally read an Octavia Butler book I'm finishing up this duology this month.

message 12: by Delitealex (new)

Delitealex | 335 comments Finished The Martian by Andy Weir liked the humor but had too much science. Overall a good book loved Mark I probably would have liked the book better if I didn't watch the movie first.

I can’t read the book if I’ve watched the movie for this reason.

message 14: by Delitealex (new)

Delitealex | 335 comments Finished Nice Girls Don't Bite Their Neighbors (Jane Jameson, #4) by Molly Harper done with another series. I'm glad there is another series featuring the Hollow and maybe a chance to see Jane and friends again :) I laughed out loud many times

I have to let some time pass between the two before I can do it. Time to let some of the details slip from my mind, lol.

Delitealex | 335 comments Finished Etiquette & Espionage (Finishing School, #1) by Gail Carriger it was a fun quick read loved seeing some of my favorite characters from the parasol protectorate as kids. Also liked meeting new characters a good start to the series.

I keep putting this book off because I'm afraid I won't be able to get into it because of the characters' ages. Maybe I should rethink that.

Do you enjoy any YA?

message 19: by Monica (new)

Monica | 860 comments Yes, I'm a big fan of YA. But I typically read YA with characters 16 and older. And even 16 can be pushing it.

message 20: by Delitealex (new)

Delitealex | 335 comments Read Abducting Abby (Dragon Lords of Valdier, #1) by S.E. Smith for a challenge since it was short. I wasn't impressed with the men but found the women fun. I will be reading Cara's book :) at least.

message 21: by Delitealex (new)

Delitealex | 335 comments Finished Twilight (The Mediator, #6) by Meg Cabot fun quick read a great end to the young adult part of the series I'm looking forward to the adult book next.

message 22: by Delitealex (new)

Delitealex | 335 comments Finished Promises in Death (In Death, #28) by J.D. Robb I'm happy to be getting back to this series I love Eve Rourke and company. I was sad reading this book we were just starting to get to know Coltrane. Other than that another great book in the series its good seeing all the familiar characters.

message 25: by Delitealex (new)

Delitealex | 335 comments Read Lock & Mori (Lock & Mori, #1) by Heather W. Petty a good quick read. It was an interesting take on Sherlock and Moriarty in modern London as a YA with Mori being a girl. I liked how they went about solving the mystery but wanted more of Locks perspective and hope to see more Mycroft in the next book.

message 26: by Delitealex (new)

Delitealex | 335 comments Read Girl Mans Up by M-E Girard loved it so much geeky gamer goodness.

message 27: by Delitealex (new)

Delitealex | 335 comments I tend to get bored easily so I need to be able to have some variety :)

message 31: by Delitealex (new)

Delitealex | 335 comments Read Glass Houses (The Morganville Vampires, #1) by Rachel Caine a good book I felt mad and sad that no one tried to help Claire I hope to see the "mean girls" get their comeuppance later on. I definitely want to continue to see what happens next.

Delitealex | 335 comments Finished The Mirror Empire (Worldbreaker Saga, #1) by Kameron Hurley this is the second book I've read by Kameron Hurley I enjoy her writing style. You pretty much are thrown to this new world and figure things out as you go along. So many characters and lots of things going on can't wait to read book 2.
