I actually did that at one point but luckily had a copy. The copy just had the book names not links. I still haven't gone back and relinked them all. I was so pissed off at myself so I definitely get your concern. I broke my read for challenge list into multiple posts after that as a mini safe guard and backup the most current to a text file from time to time.

Good start for year 2. Will be able to finish Dark Elf and Lighthouse Duet next month and bring Rat Queens and Walking Dead up to date so next month is looking good too. Will be nice to get under 70 total series for the first time since joining GoodReads.

Thanks all. I was checking what I need to finish all the 2017 challenges I signed up for and realizing that I’m going to need to start a few new series to get them done. Trying to see now what I can do to limit the damage.

Did my first of the month comics read to bring The Walking Dead and Rat Queens up to date.

Finished the Dark Elf trilogy by R. A. Salvatore. Will definitely be reading more in the Forgotten Realms world. I plan on doing more Drizzt but might check out what some other authors have done first. Though I think I might already own the Icewind Dale trilogy.

Edit: I just realized that with finishing this series I now have more finished series 72 than unfinished 70. This was a year 1 goal which I missed but still feels really great to get there.

Abandoned 2 more series. Barsoom because it’s been almost 4 years since I read the 1st book and have no real drive to continue it. A Song for No Man’s Land was just bad. I did the first 2 because the audiobooks were available at my library.

Could probably do more but still really have a hard time abandoning series.

So organized :) I was just thinking the same thing about having a hard time abandoning series but I've been less than enthused about reading romance for awhile (well as much as I used to) so I might need to jettison some especially the ones from years ago.

Thanks the 2nd try at organization was better than the first. There are some around here who are really good at abandoning and that has helped me get more comfortable with it.

I noticed once I whittled my list down to where I was almost through all of my awesome titles, it made it easier to let series go. I was looking at several months of low priority titles to read and that didn't seem like much fun. It's still hard to let them go though lol. I think the 4 years without a revisit one was a great candidate.

To an earlier update: I'm glad you liked the Dark Elf Trilogy. Which of the three books was your favorite?

This month was kind of taken over by rereads which while very entertaining kind of killed my progress. I read the hobbit and LotR with my sister and did the first trilogy of the black company again. Also reread the fifth season so I could refresh myself for the rest of the series.

I’m going to be painting a friends house the next two weeks so should get an extra 6-8 hours of audio in each day. Going to need it because I have a ton to get done in December.

Black company was a reread. It’s kind of funny that it is supposed to be the chronicles of a mercenary band but you probably never hear the names of at the most 20 members. It has some time jumps that can be initially confusing especially in audio but they are good books and relatively quick.
