September has ended, so we can all wake up now, and it’s time for another Monthly Reading Wrap-Up. Ok, I know it’s cheesy; but I had to use that joke at least once, right?

This month I read…

Scrappy Little Nobody by Anna Kendrick- I love Anna Kendrick! Her memoir definitely had her tone of humor and you could feel her personality in the writing. I didn’t find that all of her stories super engaging, but they were still enjoyable. I mostly like the parts surrounding her theater experience or her childhood.

Wires and Nerve, Volume 1 and Stars Above by Marissa Meyer- I spoke earlier this year about my new found obsession with the Lunar Chronicles, and it is still in full force. Something about this world and these characters has me completely engrossed and I really enjoyed stepping back into it with these short stories and graphic novel. The short stories are a great supplement to the original series and help bring further understanding to the main characters. The graphic novel was fun and seems like it’s going to be a great spin-off story for the series. I can’t wait for the next volume!

The Storyteller by Jodi Picoult- This book takes you on an incredible and heartbreaking journey. You get the story from many perspectives, including pieces of a tale written by the main character's grandmother which mirrors events in her own life during the Holocaust. All the perspectives add something to your understanding of the events taking place in the story and come together nicely in the incredible ending. I highly recommend this one.

The Slippery Slope by Lemony Snicket- 10 down, 3 more to go! This reread has been so much fun. I love seeing little Sunny grow up some in this one.

What did you read this month? Be sure to share down below!

Happy Reading!
