Cyndel Schafer Ok so I started this blog this year. I am very new and want to become better. A way to do this is to get feedback from fellow book bloggers.
So far I only have reviews (I am behind right now). I really want to add more but dont know how to go about doing it. Some of my thought let me know what to do.
What I would like:
Interviews
something to do with covers(brain not working)
Giveaways (?)
Books to come
Any feed back welcome. I want to learn

Also should I create a FB Page for my blog also
Thanks
Cyn

Tessa | 177 comments I really like your blog, and there are only a couple little things that I can think of to improve it.
First, you might want a header that attracts more attention. You can do that easily with picture editing sites (I use PicMonkey).
Also, you could write longer reviews. I love what you already have, but more of your thoughts on books would be amazing!
As for the FB page, I would definitely make one. I have one for my blog and it is getting some views. Facebook pages do not grow as quickly as other social media, so it takes a lot of patience to maintain one.
Also, if you want to do more things for your blog, you should try some blog tours. There are a ton of websites that hook you up with new authors and their works. Most of the time you can get a free copy to review and other cool stuff to put on your blog, like interviews. I use http://yaboundbooktours.blogspot.com/ and http://xpressobooktours.com/.
I hope you can make sense of my rambling and good luck with your blog!
If you have any other questions, I would be happy to try and help.

Hi Cyndel! I like your blog, I just followed you.

Interviews: I would email a few authors that you are interested in and ask them if you can interview them. Or, you can start a new feature on your blog where you interview authors or bloggers. Check out this thread for more advice! https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Covers: You can join cover reveals. That is when you help the author show off their new cover on your blog. If you google them, you will find a lot of author/ publisher, etc looking for bloggers to host them. I also recommend Xpresso Tours. http://xpressobooktours.com/

Giveaways: You can have your own giveaway! You can also ask around this group and others if authors are willing to donate books for a giveaway. Most authors would love to get there books out there, and giveaways are the way!

New Books: You can post on your blog about books you are excited to come out, or you can connect with authors or publishers to see if that author is having some time of blast or release day blitz, party, etc.

I hope this helps. I use Google to find things like that, and you won't believe what I find sometimes!

Jackie - Fire & Ice Book Reviews (jackiefireicebookreviews) Oh, and yes, blog tours are the way to go to get all of that in one package! :)
