James Pearson | 9 comments So, the first book in my new fantasy series has just started a Kindle Countdown deal. If you're looking for something new and a little different then this should tickle the taste buds for the first installment.

Renee E Congrats! It looks like a good read :-)

Alas, I have no Kindle.

James Pearson | 9 comments That is a shame! Prefer the feel of a real book still?

Renee E That, and I've been out of work for far too long. I'm fortunate I managed to squeak out a refurbed Mac to keep writing, but that was a necessity, and at the time I was still cranking out dog articles for websites.

There are things I'd like to have an e-reader for at some point, but there are always going to be books I want to have in hardback, or trade paperback at least.

James Pearson | 9 comments I know what you mean. There's nothing like the smell of a new book. You can't beat it. Kindles just smell of plastic.

Nice one on the refurbed Mac. Those are still way out of my price range. But I actually enjoy writing on a ten year old laptop. The keys stick out more so I can type fast without having to worry if I actually hit the letter or not.
