I started the book and read the first three chapters. I like it so far.

Chapter 3 (view spoiler)[ I think these first few chapters are a good introduction to the setting, the main protagonists and the crime.

Whilst the boy drives our narrator to the crime scene, the author gives us an interesting glimpse of New York at the end of the 19th century.

The narrator seems to have a complex character and I'm already curious to get to know Kreizler.

The few infos we already got concerning the crime are also very intriguing.

So, I'm looking forward to reading more although I'm afraid that I won't find much time this weekend. (hide spoiler)]

Sorry, but I've stopped reading it. Not my cup of tea, I think.

I read the first six chapters and I'm also not convinced. I guess for now I put it aside. It's possible that I pick it up again later.
