Marie Helene | 741 comments Just grabbed my free copy. Thank you Marie!

Sharon/ LFrog1386 (lfrog1386) | 103 comments I read it last year because I know about Aokigahara Forest in Japan and it's terrible reputation for suicide seekers. Warning: this book will make you want to Google about it. Just know that many photos are graphic in nature and be prepared for decomposing bodies.

message 14: by Lena (new) - rated it 3 stars

Lena | 2673 comments Not a favorite of mine, mostly because of the ending.

I will not be joining in for this one, I've read it but my version is kindle lendable (lol!) if anyone wants to borrow it.

Elisabeth Zguta (zguta) The ending was the best part! I’m re-reading the book, def a fav

Vicki Willis This one preyed on some real life fears. There was good tension for me.
There was a movie about this forest, not based on this book though I don't think, just on this topic.

Latasha (latasha513) | 11980 comments Mod
It wasn't Vicki

Pixelina | 64 comments I loved the mood in the start of it but got first bewildered and then disappointed in the end.

Kelly B (kellybey) | 630 comments I plan on reading this, but it will be closer towards the end of the month.

Anne (w/ an E) (mzcatnthehat) | 825 comments This has been on my Kindle for a while and I haven't read it yet so count me in . It might be a bit before I get to it, but I do really want to read it ;).

Kimberly | 41 comments I read this book almost two years ago. I truly enjoyed it, you all are in for a treat. If you're anything like me, you will be googling the real suicide forest lol.

Mixofsunandcloud | 538 comments Started it today.

Christina (zombiekittylives) | 18 comments I just downloaded it and will be starting it tonight!

Tonya Mathis | 32 comments Just finished it. I agree with Lena. I didn't quite like the ending. But it wasn't too bad of a read. Makes me want to do a little bit of research and find out more about the place. I bet it has a lot of beautiful pictures, without the bodies and the memorials of course...

Jen from Quebec :0) (muppetbaby99) | 397 comments Starting on this one tonight- I love Bates! --Jen from Quebec :0)

Mixofsunandcloud | 538 comments I would be careful about doing an image search on that place though.

I'm not done yet. I was expecting to get a good chunk read this week, but I got stomach sick.

I feel like I should point out that it's amazing they think that splitting up in the woods, in an unfamiliar area, off the trails, is a bad idea even if it wasn't rumoured to be haunted. I didn't spoiler that because everyone knows that was bound to happen.

Kelly B (kellybey) | 630 comments I finished it tonight.

I really liked the first 2/3 of the book. Then it started to go downhill, fast, for me when (view spoiler).

Interesting story, but the ending kind of ruined it for me.

Jen from Quebec :0) (muppetbaby99) | 397 comments Huh...I AM enjoying this book (about 70% finished atm) but I have an idea of what might be happening to our characters in the Suicide Forest, and I DO NOT WANT TO BE CORRECT! I really hope that I actually HAVE NOT figured out the ending, because my idea is NOT very original or creative....--Jen from Quebec :0)

Mixofsunandcloud | 538 comments I finished it. It was alright. I'm undecided about the ending.

I noticed that the older kindle edition on goodreads had 100 or so less pages. I was wondering what had changed.

Luvtoread (Trying to catch up) | 1944 comments I really enjoyed Suicide Forrest, though I do agree with a lot of you that the ending let me down. I just hoped for more from those characters. but I love Jeremy Bates books, regardless if I don't always appreciate certain aspects in his writing! I still think this book was very Creepy.

Thank you, Good Question!

NeilSB | 10 comments I really liked Suicide Forest, too. I came into it after reading, and enjoying, The Catacombs. I like the international cast of characters, and the settings are really creepy. I thought the ending was good, although I'm a bit concerned that the explanation for the goings-on in each of the books of the series may be essentially the same.

Jen from Quebec :0) (muppetbaby99) | 397 comments Man...I really enjoyed this book up until the last 5% or so. It is as if Bates had five different ideas for the ending, could not decide, and so he slammed together allllll of his ideas into a crazy mash up of ridiculousness to end the book. AND even worse, he did not expand on any of these ideas long enough for them to be satisfying ends, either! Bummer. --Jen from Quebec :0)
