Christina Packard Could you please go to MY 2 lists of the read and unread of the adult 1001 Book List and help me figure out what 10 books do not belong.

When I finished listing all the books from the lists I ended up with 1315 books. I have not figured out an easy way to figure out what does not belong...but at least I got a close count to work with!

Thank You, Christy

Sandi | 227 comments I just took a quick look at your lists and these stood out to me as non-list books:

Dante: Inferno (The Divine Comedy, #1)
Flack: Story about Ping
Marlowe: Doctor Faustus
Claudia Ott: 101 Nacht
Fielding: Bridget Jones's Diary

You also seem to have added The Riddle of the Sands twice. I hope that helps!

Christina Packard Hi.. 2nd Help Post now after corrections...

Could you please go to MY 2 lists of the read and unread of the adult 1001 Book List and help me figure out what ...6 books... do not belong.

Thank you Sandi. Out of the six you mentioned, I was able to correct 5. The 101 Nacht is a foreign name and to help I did change it to the full foreign name.

Only 6 more out of 1305 books... and I will have a full complete list.

This is not all that easy to do from all the lists out there.. at least in a shorter amount of time.

Thank You... Christy

Sandi | 227 comments Oh, if the Claudia Ott book is another version of Arabian Nights, then I think you might have added it twice as well.

Christina Packard Sandi... I Googled and from what I can tell... Ott just translated the 101 Nights and then there still is the Arabian Nights... similar in ideas but they are different. Hmmm so should they be 2 separate books on the 1001 list?

Thank you again! Christy

Hi there!Good Afternoon!
Could you check my 1001-book shelf and fix if any book are well linked as a 1001-books list?

Thx,Luís!

Christina Packard Hi Luis, I do not understand what it is you are asking? You have read 48 book I believe, but I do not understand what you mean ..."are well linked as a 1001 books list"

Thanks, Christy

I meant if you have both shelved as 1001 books, one of them is one of the +6 extra books. There is only one entry on the list. Does that help?

Christina Packard What you can do is a couple of ways and yes it takes time. You can either Google and get an alpha list of the 1001 books. There is a web page it is not working this morning for me.

or.. for a quick start you can go to my 2 book lists and see if your books are on my lists.

Whatever you do it takes time looking up the books.

Hope that helps, Christy

I also noticed you have both Dream of the Red Chamber and A Dream of Red Mansions. Both are versions of the same book.

Christina Packard Ok, Thank you!!! I am now down to needing only 3 books to be found that should not be on my 2 ..1001 Book Lists! Getting there!

Christina Packard Hi All, Can't believe it... I worked most of yesterday trying to work on both of my 1001 lists...

Christina Packard Hi All, I think I found one of my missing 1305 books. For some reason the list or books change after some time. Late late last night I found a duplicate that had not been showing and just now I found The Feast of the Goat by Llosa showed up as Read and also not marked as a 1305 book which it did not show any of this yesterday. Odd???

Just need one more book to be found...

Christy

Perhaps the missing book Pepita Jiménez by Juan Valera? We removed the version by Lott, but I don't see the Valera version on your list.

Christina Packard I think that was it the count is now back to 1305. I think I got rid of any book Pepita Jimenez.

My list may still not be perfect even though the count is right, but because of your help it is as good as it is going to get.

Thank You.. now to work on the 1001 Children list. I got that count up to 942, but didn't prove out the last 100 I put on. I forgot a step.

Christy
