Richard | 3 comments Hi All

I am planning on Reading Stephen Kings' Under The Dome' when I have finished my current book. I am after some advice: I have found it on Amazon (Paperback version) but there's three of them, there's Under The Dome (Part 1), Under The Dome (Part 2) and just a Under The Dome. Could you please advise me which one is best to read please?

Thank you
Richard

Cassandra Shepherd (darkraven_83) | 17 comments As far as I know, the part 1 and 2 are just the book in two installments. Not his best book either but if you're a King fan it might not matter much to you. I read it awhile back, and although it was a good story, it kinda leaves you hangin'.

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments I never heard of this being in two installments. How odd. The book is smaller than a lot of other King books. I thought the book was somewhat repetitive and some of the characters King's typical cardboard stereotypes, but I rather enjoyed it, especially the parts with Big Jim Rennie and the ending.

Myst | 408 comments Just under 1100 pages is small? Or part 2 being 400 some pages?

I've seen it in part 1 and 2 at the store. I figured they split it in half to save the paperback binding and/or milk twice as much money out of consumers.

Bryan | 2 comments I would advise "Under The Dome" ISBN 978-1-4391-4903-4, 1074 pages. It is a marathon but the last 200 or so pages, I could not put it down. No spoilers here but cooking meth for Jesus is a theme and the TV series does not touch the book (so far).

Scott | 255 comments I suggest an e-book. I bought the one paperback and I remember it was awkward to hold at the beginning and end when the weight distribution wasn't even. I also love to read while inclining and it felt like a cat on my chest.

Richard | 3 comments Thank you everyone, I started watching the TV series last year and just thought it would be good to read the book as well (to how it differs from the tv etc).

Thank you Bryan for the ISBN numbered one I'll get that one.

Cheers all

I don't remember the page count. I just don't remember it being any bigger than most of King's long-winded books. Certainly not bigger than The Stand.

It differs from the TV show a lot. In a good way.

Enjoy!
