I compare myself to Lennie. Lennie feels all alone because of his mental issues, he doesn't know what to say or do. I felt alone when my grandfather passed away I didn't know what to say to my family or what to do when they needed a shoulder to cry on, I was clueless. Lennie wants to impress George and make him believe that he is worth it, everyday I try to impress my parents. The different between the connection is that my parents are already proud of me and George is warming up to it.
Of Mice and Men is a book about two men who are very poor and go on an adventure to find work in their way they meet people and cause a little stir in their new work place. Lennie one of the main characters has special needs and looks up to George for everything even when George is resentful.
Sometimes people don't know how understand why some one does something or why they are like that. The characters in this book are trying to figure out why Lennie acts the way he does. Also this book relates to the world by showing that there is poverty, needed work, and depression in our society. This is a good book and it connects a lot to the world. Read it to find out what else's will happen.
