OK, Girlz & Boyz, we're doing something a little different this time around. Let's call it the Sadie Hawkins Poll:

The first four book recommendations to this thread that are appropriate to the Girlz group (i.e. a SF/F book length work by a female author or with primarily female protagonist/s) go on the poll for November. One recommendation each.

Any recommendations after the first four will go on the poll for December.

So, it's an open field, groupies. What do you think we should read? (Or vote on reading, I guess....)

God Stalk by P.C. Hodgell

This one was an official group read in 2014.

Mark | 55 comments Red Sister just finished this one and highly recommended. Fits well with this group.

Amber Martingale | 662 comments I know it's not SF/F, but it is written by a woman...actually a woman and her pet pussy cat. Wish You Were Here by Rita Mae Brown and Sneaky Pie Brown. It's a murder mystery.

Matthew Williams (houseofwilliams) | 156 comments Have we done anything else by Ursula? I would recommend The Dispossessed!

The Dispossessed by Ursula K. Le Guin

Whoops sorry. Wasn't around then. I should have checked the list first.

ETA: Having checked the list, the group has read both Left Hand of Darkness and Lathe of Heaven for Ursula.

It came out in September, so maybe it is a little new for the group. I really enjoyed her previous series though.

But it's not sci-fi or fantasy :(

Amber Martingale | 662 comments I already stated that I knew that. It fit the other qualifications.
