*Caution: There will be spoilers below**

I'd love to see your thoughts, in the moment, while you're reading! Let's discuss what's happening in this part of the book.

What's happening so far?

How are you feeling?

Are you enjoying the book or are you having issues with it?

Anyone else start reading the book?

So far, I'm not loving the book as quickly as I started to love Where'd You Go, Bernadette. I didn't expect the main character to be the age she is and is it only me or is Eleanor super harsh towards her son? It's as she can't be bothered by her son but then verbally says things like "you know I'm crazy about you"... Really? You could have fooled me!

Roxanne | 68 comments I wasn't a huge fan of Where'd you go Bernadette, but I did like it more than this one. It barely held my attention. I considered setting it aside more than once.

I also had thoughts about putting this down because I wasn't understanding it at first but I did end up enjoying it. The book made me think about the story after I finished reading it, which I liked. I thought there was a deeper meaning to the story and I couldn't stop thinking about how realistic that is.

Where'd You Go, Bernadette was much more fun while this book was more serious, from what I can remember.

What were some specific things you didn't like about this book?

Roxanne | 68 comments I can't remember it could have been my mood, but it just didn't pull me in. I find sometimes that even with books that are well written I can enjoy them but like a chapter later I don't remember anything that is going on. I didn't used to be that way, but I can go from being interested to just mindlessly reading and not taking it in at all in just a sentence.

I understand it took me a chunk of the book to get into it. That happens to me all the time now lol. I sometimes have to reread what I just read because I actually don't remember anything. It happens.

Roxanne | 68 comments Whew I am glad I am not the only one. I think when that happens I should just set that book aside for a while and try another one.
