Hannah McGee | 3 comments My favorite character while reading this story was the grandmother as she reminded me of my own great-grandmother. The grandmother in this case was interesting to me because even though the Great Depression was taking place, she did not let the doom and gloom of that event get her down. She still interacted with her grandchildren in a way that showed them that she loved and care for them. It also did not change the grandmother on what she did with her grandchildren during this time period. I do think that her grandchildren probably thought she was crazy at times, but hey, everyone needs a little weirdness in their lives right? Anyways, I really enjoyed reading this book, and to be honest, when I first saw the book, I thought it might be boring, but I was very wrong and I am very glad I was wrong about the book because this book is seriously fun! Did everyone else enjoy reading the book? What thoughts did you guys have during your reading of the book? I would love to know your reactions to it!

Paige Meadows | 3 comments I also enjoyed the book. All of the crazy adventures made the story more interesting and engaging. I also liked how even though it was set during the Great Depression, the grandma never let that affect their good times.
