I personally love Anne of Green Gables! It is a favorite of my daughter too. =)

Uprooted, Burial Rites and Ready Player One.

I'm also reading Red Rising and Ready Player One in 2018. I hope you enjoy the first year of the challenge. This year (2017) is my first and I have really enjoyed it! Good luck!

Gone with the Wind
Claire and Scarlett are my two all time favorite female characters ( and Hermione of course, lol)
I also very much enjoyed Red Rising, The Handmaid's Tale, The Book Thief, A Monster Calls, and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child - Parts One and Two.
