E M M A ((Morgan, me, then echo? For posting order))

Dean nearly skipped in the hallways, resisting the urge to hold Tegans hand as he bounced in his step. He was comfortable in his sweater and sweatpants, not planning at all to go outside in the damned snow. He hated winter, so much it was unbearable. He was weaker in the winter, tended o be prone to colds if he didnt keep himself burning 24/7. So when Tegan proposed to go outside in the courtyard, Dean was hesitant. He didnt want to ruin Tegans fun, but he couldn't go outside. He couldn't. It would basically be suicide, and all he'd do is melt the snow into rain water. What would they do with all that water? Drink it?

"Uh... Tegan... I can't go outside, but I'll wait for you here," dean promised earnestly, a bit of regret in his voice as he said the words. Baby. He should have said yes. She had looked so excited, so thrilled to go out and frolick like the rest o the kids. He couldn't eer be normal, or experience the snow without melting it, couldn't build snowmen as a little kid because he'd be sitting in puddles by the time he walked outside. It had made him the worst playmate ever, the water sometimes even boiled, evaporated in clouds of steam. Dean folded his arms across his chest, biting his lip.

Tegan pouted and gave him a look, begging him to come out with her, that snow was fun, that she wanted him to come. The invitation became very tempting, so much that dean caved. Bad judgement, again on his part. "Fine, fine Tegan! But only a little bit... And you... You've gotta wear my sweatshirt, and my beanie, so you don't get frostbite, or catch a cold," Dean warned, already removing his clothing and handing it to his new best friend. He had to take care of his new best buddy, so she wouldn't get sick. He wouldn't be able to bear it if se caught some illness that made her weak, made her suffer in bed all day.

He opened the courtyard door, following an excited Tegan outside into a good few feet of snow. "God, it's s-so cold," Dean whispered under his breath, goosebumps forming on his bare arms. He hated to do what he had sworn not to do, frowning with apology to Tegan before flames consumed his body, making the cold all the more bearable. He was still weak, not too good with his powers, so the flames flickered and threatened to die out. The snow caught fire, melted around his feet until he had melted it down to the cement of the courtyard. He now stood in shin deep snow, nearly reaching his knees.

He wanted to go inside, as soon as he extinguished his flames with his eyes still glowing a startling shade of red. They flickered with orange and flecks of gold as if he had fires in his eyes, his skin steaming to the touch. Any moisture in the air was burnt, clouds of steam releasing from his arms. He was extremely uncomfortable and ashamed for what his power did, the only thing it did. Destroy. Tegan loved her snow, and here he was, melting it all. He settled for sitting on a bench, his knees pulled up to his chest as he melted the snow layers underneath him, watching Tegan play.

((Sorry if mine are too short, I’m multitasking >.< ))

Scarlett tried her best to be silent as she walked through the hallways, a little ways behind Dean and Tegan. He was going outside with her, and he could see just how much he cared about her already. Heck, he was already giving up his clothing for her. By the time everyone was settled outside, she was on the inside of the door, her breath fogging up the glass as she looked out at him, tears slipping down her cheeks. Of course he’d picked another girl. She was so much prettier than Scarlett anyways. The more silent girl stood on the inside of the building, not wanting to go outside and be seen by him.

She knew she’d have to do it at some point, or else nothing would ever go back to how it was. He’d never be able to know how she really felt about him. Wiping away at the tears on her face, she sniffled and opened the huge door with a loud creaking noise. As she stepped outside, she could already feel the snow crunching underneath her feet. With her mutations, her emotions were vaguely connected with controlling the weather, so snow began to blast wildly off in the distance. She didn’t want to hurt Dean or Tegan with her powers. Anyone he cared about, she’d care about as well.

Timidly, she approached him with the tears still on her cheeks. She slowly sat down across from him, her expression nothing but sad. “You don’t know how much I’ve looked for you.” She croaked out, not giving him eye-contact. He hadn’t been there for her the nights she’d needed him, crying alone in her bedroom. The kids here could be pretty rude, but she’d only been crying because he’d been gone. He’d abandoned her just like everyone else. Though clearly he didn’t need her as much as she needed him. Here she was, watching him make new friends while she couldn’t get herself unattached from him. He was her everything, the reason she even had hope anymore.

That hope was now fading, flickering out like a lightbulb in need of a fix. “I needed you, Dean. Where were you? I c-coulnd’t find you!” She cried out once more, this time her voice a little louder but she couldn’t help her croaking. She hadn’t cried in years, and here she was again with the hot tears streaming down her cheeks in the icy cold weather. They were literally boiling hot, considering her heat vision. All this emotion that had been bubbling inside of her for the days they’d been here was finally released, but he was just sitting here. Perfectly content without her. She should’ve known better than to let her heart get the best of her. Maybe she just needed reassurance that she even had a heart anymore.

Tegan frowned as Dean told her to go outside by herself. "What? Darn it." She muttered, kicking at the ground. She didn't want to experience her first snow in year all by herself. That was lame! She wanted to remember her first snow with her best friend. What a great memory! Years down the road she would tell his kids that hey! Their dad was with her when she experienced her first snow outside of the labs! And they would say: 'Man. They were really close friends.' But he wouldn't go outside with her.

She tried not to let the disappointment appear on her face as she trudged down the hall to the doors all by herself. And then...Deans voice stopped her. Her face lit up all over again in excitement as she skipped back over to him. "Really? You mean it?" She said with a grin, accepting the sweatshirt and beanie. The sweatshirt was far to big for her, but the beanie fit fine. She grinned and threw her arms around him, giving him a hug. "Thank you." She whispered, just before she saw the fire again. It lasted seconds, and she was back to normal. Stupid mutation.

Tegan ran outside, joy and excitement written all over her face as she spread her arms out wide, feeling the snowflakes land all over her face and arms. She looked over at Dean who seemed to be having a hard time. She gave him a look, meeting his gaze. "Come on Dean! Dial down! Please? Come play with me." She said, holding out her hand. "I don't want to play alone..that looks pathetic." She said pointedly, guesturing for him to go over to her.

The wind began to pick up as some girl stormed outside, making it hard for Tegan to breathe and see. She closed her eyes as the snowflakes swirled around her. She turned around, her hair flying everywhere. Man. Maybe she didn't like the snow. She grabbed the top of Deans beanie, pulling it closer over her ears and trying to blindly make her way back to them. As she got closer to him, the blizzard disappeared, and it was like nothing happened. What?

Tegan hugged his sweatshirt tighter around her as she shivered, the wind earlier had left her freezing cold. "D-dean?" She called, seeing some girl sobbing next to him. Man. What was with tears today? She thought, stopping in her tracks as it hit her. Was that Scarlett? Maybe she better leave them alone. She walked over to him, biting her lip as she crouched down next to him. "Do you want to be left alone?" She asked softly, feeling like she was intruding. "I can give you your clothes back so you don't freeze." Tegan felt like she was inturrupting something extremely private and she felt bad. Hopefully she didn't have to go...but she just had to know what he wanted.

E M M A ((Sorry was working on the forest post xD))

Dean felt himself cheer up, nearly leaping to his feet to grab Tegans outstretched hand, wanting so badly I enjoy the snow as much as she was. Maybe if he just forgot about his mutation, if he took it like a champ, maybe e could have a little fun with it. The smile was smacked off his face as a blizzarding wind knocked him back onto the bench, his outstretched hand for Tegans dropping to the side of the bench. He was bewildered at the cold, confused, until he saw her. Scarlett. His love, the one who had betrayed him for some other girls, popularity, and better people. People that wouldn't cry all the time like he did.

Scarlett was angry with him, her eyes red as tears steamed down her cheeks. Dean stared with a broken expression, battling with his insides as she approached, sitting on the bench beside him, but on the edge as far as she could manage. Needed him? No way, no way had she been eagerly seeking him. She was laughing with a bunch of girls, fitting in with the popular crowd whenever he had seen her. He had been too ashamed to reach out to er when she was with her friends, had hidden out whenever she came around with her friends so as not to ruin her new reputation. He had never thought for a second Scarlett was missing him, that she would cry over him. Scarlett never cried, not even in the labs.

Dean blinked, his vocal chords not functioning in the slightest. He was lost for what to say, snapping out of his trance hearing Tegan approach. His best friend would know what to do, but he could directly ask her in frot of Scarlett! He realized how bad it looked when Scarlett shot a glare at tegan, his heart throbbing in his ears. "I-I didnt think you wanted me anymore, scar," dean whispered truthfully, no longer on fire. His hazel eyes were still puffy from crying earlier, but apparently sobbing in front of someone he cared about twice that day wasnt enough. He whimpered softly, the tears streaking down his cheeks as the urge to hug Scarlett so tight she couldn't breathe overwhelming him.

"N-no, stay, tegan," dean begged, afraid of being left alone. Besides, if everything worked out, he wanted to introduce Scarlett to Tegan. "I-ill be fine, just stay," Dean murmured, his hazel eyes meeting Tegans. His focus returned to Scarlett, her shoulders shaking as she cried. How could he have done this to his Scarlett? He didnt want to look desperate, oh no, but he couldn't help himself. Dean scoot got up from the bench and sat down again directly beside Scarlett, his arms curling tightly around her torso and pulling her closer, nearly in his lap. "I missed you so so bad," dean began, unable to contain himself as his emotional wreck of a self returned.

"I could never find you, and w-when I d-did, you were always with your fri-friends, you looked so much ha-happier without me," Dean explained through broken words, hardly understandable through his muffled voice against her shoulder. "I did-didnt think you cared anymore, th-that you m-m-m-moved on, so I stayed away, so you didnt have to be embarassed by me," dean wailed, looking like a little kid again with a bit of snot threatening to dribble out his nostril, and his face blotchy as he cried. He didnt have to worry about his boy temperature with Scarlett, since he knew she knew how to handle him. "I'm so, so sorry!" His voice was louder than normal as he let his heart out, the last few weeks' holed up in his chest.

He had spent so many days laying in bed in the dark cold, never feeling more alone than he did in his life. The thought of Scarlett's betrayal had made him physically ill with a cold the second week, and him throwing up twice in the past week. The cold and snow didnt seem to affect Dean anymore, and he had temporarily forgotten about Tegan on the same bench while they threw their own sob fest.

Scarlett couldn’t take all this emotion, her friends? She wasn’t aware of having any friends here besides Dean, whom she felt was more than a friend. Dean wasn’t her friend, he was her main reason for even being alive anymore. What would she have done if she never found him? Probably run away. Though she wouldn’t have gotten far without him. “D-Dean...” She cried before moving into his lap, needing to be closer to him. She needed to feel him there, his warmth, his embrace, she just needed him. With shaky hands, she wrapped his scorching hot arms around her waist.

“T-They weren’t my f-f-friends. I just acted l-like one of them s-so I could ask i-if they had s-seen you anywhere.” She cried, her heated tears dripping down onto the pale skin of her legs. She wasn’t even cold out here in her denim shorts, thanks to Dean. It was almost like he was her personal little heater again, like things had always been. “I’m n-never...” She hiccuped at the tears. “I’m never embarrassed by you.” She managed out clearly, leaning back into his chest as to know he was there. The memories flashed through her head of all those nights running away from the labs that they’d spent sleeping against each-other.

“I’m the o-one who should be sorry.” She murmured softly, her voice just barely above a whisper as she spoke. The tears had calmed by now, and so did the blizzard. The sky had actually cleared and the sun shone down on the cold and barren land around them that was blanketed in white. Well, except for underneath them where Dean had melted away just about all remainders of the icy cold substance. “I love you.” She whispered inaudibly, at least, she hoped. She didn’t need him to know that she felt more towards him than friendship. That was something everyone was afraid of, wasn’t it? Rejection.

Especially being the antisocial and completely awkward girl she was, she just knew it wasn’t possible to love her back. She spared a glance over in the other girl’s direction, still unbelievably jealous at how close they’d been. He’d even given her his clothes... Her eyes glowed an eerily deep shade of red, sending a soft red glow onto her facial features. It took her a lot to hold back those lasers that were just wanting to sear through something. To show just how terrible those lonely and long nights had been without Dean. Sighing, she closed her eyes and shook her head, the red colour slowly fading.

It wasn’t his fault that he’d looked for her and couldn’t find her. It was just like she’d done with him, looking everywhere only to know that he was hiding from her. It hurt in a way, that he’d ever think she’d be embarrassed by him or ever gain any other friends. He’d always be the most important person in her life, even if she couldn’t tell him that. The small ‘I love you’ earlier was probably the most emotion that she’d ever even express. She found it incredibly hard to express herself, but Dean understood every little quirk she had that showed how she felt. Especially now.

Tegan felt so awful. She placed a hand on his shoulder, focusing on her mew best friend. She wasnt going to leave him if he didn't want her too. she felt so uncomfortable with the Scarlett girl staring at her. "Dean I'm right here. Ok?" She said softly, giving him a whisper of a smile. "Don't get to in over your head." She said with a small wink, plopping down into the snow next to him.

For while she just sat there, playing in the snow. She even made her first little snowman. She looked up at Dean, to show off her creation, but then froze. Scarlett was on his lap, sobbing. Awkward. Tegan had been crying, but at least she wasnt on his Lap. They were both sobbing and Tegan wanted to crawl into a hole and die. Really, she had only been in a few awkward situations like these, and this one took the cake.

She let out a low whistle, feeling Scarlett's gaze land on her. Tegan looked back at her, waving her fingers and giving her a cheeky smile. she was so dead. There was no hope for her at this point. No wonder they didn't give her the talent of seeing her one future. She was going to die for waving at this girl. That was pathetic! Probably the worst way to die, and everyone knew it.

Tegan stood slowly, not jealous, but not comfortable either. Scarlett had just confessed that she loved Dean! But honestly...Tegan wasn't convinced. It was a great display for sure, but...Tegan wasnt buying it. She wanted to pry Scarlett off of Deans lap and scream saying: 'What the crap!' But she didn't. It was Deans choice to be led on, not hers. She would just be there when he came to her bawling. Simple.

Tegans pants began to get soaked, so she moved up on the bench next to Dean, wrapping herself in his sweatshirt. It felt just like hugging him. She liked that a lot. It made her feel a little cool to know that she got a sweatshirt after knowing him.. Three hours yet it looked like Scarlett was still waiting for hers. It made Tegan feel pretty darn snazy. She tugged the beanie tighter around her wavy brown hair, enjoying the feel of it. Really.. Scarlett may be on his lap, but Tegan was the best friend. That's always better in the long run.

She let out a soft cough, letting the love birds know she was still sitting there. She didn't want a full on make out session happening right next to her and she couldn't leave because she was so loyal to this dweeb. "Hiya." She said softly, waving at the two. "Glad ya'll talked out your feelings, but if you're gonna kiss...can I go now?" She asked, sending a small wink Deans way, letting him know she didn't mind. She would be happy for him, even if she didn't approve. Wasn't she a fantastic friend?

Tegan didn't have much experience being an actual friend...but she felt like she was doing pretty good so far! She was supporting him while he talked feelings with his...girlfriend? Tegan was pretty sure it was heading down that road and that made her feel kinda sick. What if Scarlett was just saying she cared so she could feel good. Back in the labs Tegan knew a girl like that. It was nasty, but possible. She just hoped Dean would be careful. That's all. You know, watch his back. That sort of thing. Tegan wasn't going to be his keeper.

message 8: by E M M A (new)

E M M A Dean let Scarlett climb on his lap, his cheeks heating as he felt Tegan watching them. But he wouldn't push Scarlett off, she was still his sorta girlfriend and best friend, if she proved that she had indeed been missing him, looking for him. His arms were draped around Scarlett's still slender waist, her body particularly skinny from the months tey had run away, living without money on the streets. Finding a quarter, a dollar even, had been a field day for the two as they got a taste if what it was like to be homeless. He was relieved that his mother had been able to pay the bills enough so thy werent evicted that one time when he was seven.

Dean could feel Scarlett's hot breath on his cheeks as she cried, willing to forgive her right away with his desperation. He couldn't believe that Scarlett would go as far to join the popular crowd a bit confused about her methods of finding him but unwilling to question them. At least, Scarlett had put herself in a good place with the it crowd, become one of them as an asset. "You did that? But why? It obviously didn't work," dean wiped his cheeks with his shoulder, his hand resting on Scarlett's leg to keep her warm. What was she thinking, wearing shorts in the winter snow? He would have given her his sweatpants, but that would have been completely awkward in public. They had gotten so used to each other, sharing clothes wasn't a big deal. His heart swelled when she swore she would never be embarrassed by him, which was saying alot. He'd still try in public to keep his cool, to act like a normal kid for her sake. "Really? Never?" Dean bit his bottom lip, his hazel eyes looking up for a promise like any little kid would.

He listened to her soft voice an apology, sitting in the quiet courtyard with her warm body on his lap and Tegan playing in the snow by herself, watching them. The snow drifts had calmed down, only a few flakes drifting from the clouds above as a gentle breeze ruffled his hair. Scarlett wasnt crying too bad anymore, a relief for Dean. He didnt know what to think when Scarlett was upset, as she normally kept her emotions out of the picture. "I forgive you, if you'll forgive me," Dean mumbled against her shoulder, his hazel eyes distant as his eyes locked on a patch of snow. He had melted trough the rather thick later of ice and snow beneath him, sitting on the hot bench with the snow risen a good four inches on either side of him. He felt awful for his accusations now, regretting the whole misunderstanding.

Scarlett muttered something under her breath with her fist curled on his chest, his eyes widening slightly. He wasn't sure if he had heard right, and if he had... It would change things. "What, Scar?" Dean asked gently so as not to frighten her away, shut him out again. Tegan's impatient and uncertain voice cut through his thoughts, his head snapping up from the patch of snow. "K-kiss?" Dean repeated, a pink color coming to his cheeks as he met a glance with Scarlett. They weren't that far yet, were they...? He had longed to feel her lips on his, but he was terrified if making any moves on her. What if she didn't like it? He didn't want to ruin things, if Scarlett was ready, she would make her own time.

"Oh... Y-yeah, I guess... Sorry to keep you here," dean apologized bashfully, blushing in the slightest. He had revealed his emotional side to Tegan, but she didn't need to see the love side of him. He was so tender with Scarlett, he was sure she had wanted to barf. "I'll find you later?" Dean asked before she could leave, his eyes locking with Tegan's. He was a little sad to see her go, but he had Scarlett.

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

Scarlett could tell just how much Tegan didn’t like her, just by the way she was looking back at her. She felt bad for glaring at her now, since the two obviously weren’t dating. She’d just felt jealous that someone had been spending time with Dean that wasn’t her. Someone who had been able to comfort him when he cried and was in pain. That girl must be pretty damn amazing if she could do that for him. She looked up at Dean lovingly before she got up and ran over to Tegan. She awkwardly stepped through the cool snow, wishing she could control ice at this point. “Thanks a lot, damn scientists.” She muttered.

Once she’d made it over to the girl, she crouched down in front of her with a sorry gaze. No matter how much this girl hated her, she wanted to try her best to give an apology. Letting out a deep sigh that puffed into the cool air around them, she looked over at her with warm brown eyes. “I’m sorry about getting upset and glaring at you and and...” She shook her head, trying to clear it of all her crazy emotions. If she didn’t focus on just this one, she’d end up blurting something out that sounded insane. It wasn’t that Scar wasn’t a little crazy, but she could have her moments that showed it.

“And for being really really terrible... I’m sorry if you don’t think I care about him. I don’t deserve him and I know I don’t. All I can do at this point is ask for both your and his forgiveness.” She said timidly, her hands shaking slightly. This day had been the most emotional by far, since she’d never had to express herself so much ever. Finally getting it off her chest, she stood back up and glanced over to Dean with a soft smile. The OCD part of her had to get his best friend’s approval to hang out with Dean once more. She’d been there for him when Scarlett couldn’t be.

As for her methods of finding Dean, her mind worked a little differently than everyone else’s. She figured that the ‘populars’ would know where everyone was and knew everything about everyone. Maybe if she gained their trust then they’d tell her where Dean was. Though it had been extremely gruelling for such an introverted person to push herself into something she swore she’d never do. Back in the present, she smiled awkwardly at Tegan and started to make her way back over to Dean so that she could let all her words sink in. She tended to rush things like that so the pain didn’t last as long.

She sat down next to Dean this time, shifting uncomfortably. “You don’t need to be forgiven. You didn’t do anything wrong... You never do anything wrong, Dean. I don’t deserve you. I don’t deserve for you to take me back, and even though those damn ‘populars’ were such...” She took a deep breath so that she wouldn’t blow up right there. “Nuisances... I wanted to get to them so that they’d tell me where you were. I figured they knew everything about this school and it’s students...” She frowned, looking down at her shaking hands that were pricked with goosebumps at the wrists.

She hadn’t really even heard the mention of the two kissing, so she was clearly not bothered by it. She’d been in her own little world, fantasising about him. “I miss you.” She murmured softly, this time just able a whisper. It was obvious he hadn’t heard her confession of love towards him, and it made her glad. If he heard that... She didn’t know what she’d do. He probably didn’t feel the same. Tegan was far prettier than her, and she seemed like a lot more fun to be around. Scarlett wouldn’t blame Dean if he liked her that way instead of herself. Sometimes she had to face the consequences of her actions, something she was far too familiar with.

((Sorry its short! I was just getting her out of there...haha so Dean and Scar can thave their alone time!))

Tegan smiled at Dean, leaning over to whisper in his ear. "You better get used to my teasing Dean. Because once you become my friend, there ain't no going back." She teased, patting his head. "Have fun love birds!" She sang, walking away. And then Deans eyes locked on hers, and she nodded, smiling at him. "Of course! I gotta give you your clothes back." She told him gently, waving as she trudged off into the snow.

She turned around on her heels, looking at no other than Scarlett. What did she want? She raised an eyebrow, confused. What on earth did she want? Tegan stared at her, a look of surprise on her face. Well..she wasn't expecting that to come out of her mouth. "Ok." She said with nod, mostly forgiving her. Mostly. She seemed nice, and Teg would give her a chance.

"Just be careful with dean. He really cares about you." Tegan finished, smiling at the two before jogging off. Gross. She didn't want to spend her time listening to two people awkwardly flirt. It was just a bad idea waiting to happen. Well in her case. She didn't know much about flirting herself, but...that was so not it. It was just awkwardly expressing feelings. It was kind of funny to watch..but Tegan would never tell them that.

E M M A ((All good!))

Tegan turned to go, leaving Dean a bit confused. What was her teasing going o do to him? He wasn't too sure what qualified as teasing, if joking was the same thing, and what not-teasing would be like. Dean just wasnt good with interpretation. "Bye, Tegan," he called timidly, raising a hand to wave ever so slightly. He missed her already. "Stay warm, keep it as long as you need," he shouted after her, remembering he wasnt wearing his beanie seeing it for the first time on Tegans head. His hair was a mess, and his arms had goosebumps that refused to leave, but it was worth it.

Dean watched a little startled as Scarlett without warning left his lap, eager to chase after Tegan for some weird reason. Half of him was concerned that she was out to kill his new best friend with the way her eyes had glowed dangerously, the other half had a little hope. Scarlett seemed to apologize to Tegan with an ashamed look on her features, and dean turned his face away to give them their time. His feet kicked at the snow, melting it through his shoe to his disappointment. Why couldn't anything ever go right around here? Why did he have to be given the ability to make fires at birth? Why not something cool, something useful?

When Scarlett finally returned, she didnt sit in his lap. Ah, Scarlett. Instead, she resorted to settling on the melted part of the bench beside dean, an awkward gap between the two that had been so close not only a few minutes ago. He turned in his seat with one leg folded up to sit sideways, taking Scarlett's frigid hands as she spoke. Dean could tell by the way Scarlett's hands shook that shed most likely be sick by tomorrow. Shorts on a snow day? Insanity. Scarlett opened her mouth again to apologize, and he immediately twisted his expression in refusal to accept the words coming out of her mouth. He wondered if she was even thinking right.

"You don't deserve me? What's that supposed to mean? Scarlett, I don't care anymore... I just want you," he murmured gently, squeezing her fingers for emphasis. "Exactly. You tried for me, even went as far as getting in with the cool kids that you hate so much, just to find me," he pointed out, his thumbs rubbing the back of her hands. "I've missed you SO much, I've got lots I needed to tell you!" Dean whispered excitedly, remembering his future again. It would be a little painful to recount thins, but there was a hope for him in the future. Not to mention, all the experiences his past three weeks here at the academy without Scarlett. Without his other half, he really was hopeless.

"Lets get you inside, scar, you can't be wearing shorts outside on a snowy day," he rolled his eyes, hesitating as he leaned close, pecking her cheek with soft lips. He hugged her body tightly for several moments, knowing Scarlett probably wouldn't refuse him, and regained what he had missed so badly he couldn't even sleep at night. Dean loved Scarlett, would do anything for her if she asked. The fact that she indeed had been looking for him and posing as a popular just for him, really meant everything to dean. It showed that Scarlett cared, was truly there for him, had never abandoned him in the first place. It shamed him that he didnt try harder to reach out to Scarlett and clear things first, that he had been even talking to another girl that wasnt Scarlett. He really owed it to scar big time. Releasing her from a giant bear hug filled with warmth to keep Scarlett from getting sick, he stood in the thick snow and offered his hand to the girl on the bench.

Scarlett had been deep in thought until the moment his lips touched her cheek. She was now frozen in more ways than one, her eyes wide as she stared ahead at the buildings in front of her. He’d just kissed her. Well, her cheek anyways. But just that was enough to put her into such a state of shock that she couldn’t move for a few seconds. Only when he let go of her did she resume her movements. She looked up, realising he was offering his hand to her to get up as well. “What? Oh yeah. My shorts. I hadn’t planned on it snowing today but... Mother Nature and I have a complicated relationship.” She said with a smirk.

She eagerly took his hand while getting up, gripping it tightly in her own as she took a step forwards on the wet grass. It was all wet around the bench from where the snow had been that Dean had melted away, which made it hard to walk there. Being Scarlett, she of course slipped on it and fell forwards on top of Dean. He landed with his back into the snow with her on top of him, earning a face full of snow from the landing. She’d let out a surprised yelp, but found it funny how all the snow started to melt around him. A smile even captured her lips before she noticed how close they were.

She was on top of him. Her heartbeat immediately increased it’s pace, her gaze focusing anywhere but his own. Now she was genuinely frozen, unable to even move at this point. “U-Um... S-Sorry...” She murmured awkwardly, shuddering at the warm sensation of his breath on her face. She decided to close her eyes, too scared to look down and see how close his face was. They were squinted shut, her hands pressed gently to his warm chest. “I love you.” It slipped out louder than last time and she squeaked in surprise.

Damn it. Damn it. Damn it. She repeated mentally, moving slightly so she could hide her face in his chest. She couldn’t even look at him now that she’d let her filter down. Always around Dean, she was used to being able to say whatever she wanted no matter what it was. Now that he had been gone for so long, she’d tried to build it back up. Though some of her insanity had somehow gotten through and she’d let her emotions all tumble out into three small words that held such heavy meaning. Her chest heaved against his, almost like there wasn’t enough air around them.

Desperately trying to hide from someone while being on top of them isn’t exactly easy. Of course she could’ve just gotten up and ran inside, but she literally just couldn’t. Her body was shivering slightly amidst the cold weather, but being pressed up to Dean like this gave her all the warmth she needed. Not to mention the heat she was radiating from her sudden outburst that she was mentally hiding under a rock for. Her face still hiding in his shoulder, she clutched him and hoped to God he hadn’t been listening.

E M M A Scarlett either didnt take anything by the display of affection, or wasnt taking it very well. Whichever it was, he was still pleased with himself that he had been as bold as he was. He still couldn't admit the feelings out loud in fear of rejection, but they were still there, Scarlett had to know. "It's October, isn't it winter anyway?" He pointed out, still confused on when seasons started and ended. "You could have looked out the window... I'll dress you tomorrow," dean sighed, before thinking about what he had just said. "Er-I mean- I was trying to say that- I meant I was gonna.... I was gonna pick out warm clothes for you," dean blushed furiously, avoiding her smirk.

Still humiliated, Dean stuck to clasping her smaller hand in his larger one, instead of intertwining their fingers like they sometimes did. He really needed to shut up. His shoes and sweatpants were soaked through with all the melted ice he had sat and stepped on, not to mention the next Lake Michigan growing at his feet. Suddenly, Scarlett was sent crashing into him when he didnt expect it, the two of them tripping over each ther in the snow. Scarlett landed on top of him, knocking some of the air from his lungs. Wow. That... Had been a tough one. Snow fell ino his eyes, a bit of panic as his face was covered with the icy white stuff. Soon, the contour of his boy had melted away in the snow, his back against the cool grass hidden beneath the white layers.

Dean laughed at how silly the whole thing had been, staring up into Scarlett's big beautiful brown eyes. He grinned foolishly up at her, the faces only an inch or two apart. It was the closest they'd ever been in this way, Scarlett's long brown hair tickling his cheek. "Way to fall, on me," he joked, reaching a hand that had been splayed out in the snow up to brush back Scarlett's bangs from his face. He tucked it behin her ear with a little smile, not minding Scarlett's weight at all. In truth, she wasnt even heavy. It was kind of... nice.

Then Scarlett's expression changed, one of pure horror and embarrassment. Her cheeks flamed as she avoided his eyes now, much to his disappointment. He didnt see why it had upset her so much. "Don't be," Dean laughed softly, his hand resting uncomfortably on the snow in several places before he decided on the small of Scarlett's back. Perfect. Her eyes were closed tightly, leaving dean slightly amused. He didnt get what the big deal was, but was genuinely surprised at Scarlett's new behavior. Never had they been this close in three years they had grown together, not even when times got to be the worst. Then he heard those three magical words, his heart skipping a few beats in his chest.

Scarlett's hands curled into fists against his chest, her face buried in te fabric of his shirt. He could faintly smell her shampoo, his cheeks burning still in shock. She had said the golden words, ones he had tried so hard to earn from Scarlett. And now, laying in the snow, she had said them. "I... I love you too... I love you too!" He repeated louder, more clearly, as his arms automatically squeezed around her waist tightly. His heart was exploding with sheer happiness, knowing in his gut that this was true love, that he cared for Scarlett more than he had anyone else. Why it had taken nearly three years to say it aloud, Dean didnt know.

He held his love tightly to his chest, forgetting every present care and absorbing Scarlett in his arms. "I love you, so much, you don't know how awful it's been without you," Dean whispered against her cheek. His eyes squeezed shut. The snow began to fall again over them in gentle drifts, the precipitation melting as soon as it came anywhere near him. His body must have been scorching. Dean released Scarlett for a moment, propping himself up on his elbows and looking out over the snow remaining. "Am I too hot?" Dean grimaced, before again rethinking his choice of words. "Like temperature, am I too hot temperature-wise?" Deans face was complimented with a bright shade of pink, the snow that fell on his nose and cheeks sizzling and evaporating. The white fluffy flakes landed in his hair and on his eyelids, soon coating Scarlett's back. There faces were still close together with dean propped up, Scarlett having to arch her back to avoid their faces colluding. He couldn't help but become distracted by how red and soft Scarlett's lips seemed, his eyes flitting occasionally down to them. He really needed to focus.

Scarlett’s eyes snapped open when he replied to her sudden little outburst, her heartbeat picking up even more if that was possible. He loves me? She wondered, but her thoughts were affirmed when he said it again but with his arms wrapped tightly around her waist. He squeezed the air out of her, looking down at him as she made an alarmed noise at being squished. Though when his hot breath was against her cheek, it seemed like she was the warmest girl in the world. Especially when he asked if he was too hot. In her opinion, he was very, very attractive. So it took her a moment to contemplate her answer.

“Temperature wise, no. In other ways... Yes.” She giggled bashfully, looking down into his beautiful hazel eyes only to see them flicking downwards towards her lips. She blushed once more, seeing that he wanted to kiss her. How would she even know what to do during a kiss? Sh’ed never kissed anyone before, so she figured that if she kissed him now in the snow, it would be both of their first kisses. He was so close... She bit her lip in thought, readjusting herself as she grew nervous and anxious. Scarlett moved so that he was propped up a little more, her legs wrapped around his waist while she sat in his lap, facing him.

“I know how awful I’ve been without you.” She told him, reaching up to gently cup both of his warm cheeks in her cool hands. You’d think that sitting here in the snow while being soaked would make them freezing, but not with Dean here. Scarlett was very comfortable sitting in his lap pressed up to him, but she was scared at how warm he’d get if she even decided to kiss him. Leaning in closer, she nuzzled his cheek with her own. “I was so jealous when I saw you with Tegan... I felt like nobody should be able to hold your hand but me.” She murmured softly.

One of her hands slid down his chest, the other one still cupping his cheek. Honestly, she was just going with her gut on this. For once, she was expressing herself without forcing herself to do it. It came so naturally with Dean, it was unexplainable. “I’ve wanted to tell you how I felt ever since we left the labs.” She murmured, her eyes closed as it was her turn to whisper into his cheek. Pulling back slightly, she looked into his eyes lovingly. There was no hint of the redness that had been in her eyes before, but instead pure adoration for him. Slowly, she leaned forwards and her eyes closed the second their lips touched. It was almost like she could feel pins and needles pricking her insides, but it was a good feeling. More than good. She felt like electricity was coursing through her veins - that’s how good it felt. Her kiss was soft and gentle, despite all the emotions balled up inside her.

((Sorry if it sucks, last post before going to bed XD ))

E M M A Dean didnt mind the price he had to pay sitting in the snow, or what was left of it anyway. His sweatpants were soaking through in the muddy grass, but the discomfort was compensation for how high his head was in the clouds. He was relieved that he hadnt been harming Scarlett, and also that she thought he was... Hot, in "other ways". It was quite the good feeling, being called attractive by someone he really cared about. "Oh really?" Dean raised an eyebrow, unable to help the giddy and foolish smiling on his behalf. He'd never seen Scarlett blush as much as she did right then, living up to her name. "Your cheeks are red," dean murmured, only to give her a hard time as they readjusted in the snow. He still leaned back on both of his hands, but sat more upright with Scarlett's legs around his waist.

Her freezing fingers had never felt so good on his overly warm cheeks, his internal core temperature rising with every passing moment. He was struggling hard to keep himself cool enough for Scarlett to touch him, not to burn him like he had one night at the labs. Her body pressed up close against his chest, his eyelids fluttering shut as their cheeks were pressed together. It was pure bliss, at last he had his Scar back. He liked this soft side of her, the emotional piece that had always stayed somewhat hidden. His heart broke for what was revealed to him about Tegan, guilt rolling in the pit of his stomach. "I'm so sorry, Scarlett... You're the only one who will ever hold my hand," dean swore. When he made a promise, he stuck by it. Always.

With how Scarlett was touching him, it made his senses go wild. He couldn't focus too much on controlling his body heat that seemed to increase drastically, his hazel eyes glancing down at the hand on his chest while her other hand tilted his head closer to her face. "I always wanted to tell you, ever since... Day one... I had a big crush on you since I arrived, Scarlett," Dean admitted with a nervous laugh. It felt good to get it out there, to make his feelings for the girl who had stuck by him for a few crucial years in his life, and from that point forward. He was beginning to wonder if the girl Tegan had seen in his future was Scarlett.

Their eyes locked for a moment of truth, nothing but that teenage puppy love and a little something more in that gaze. Scarlett began to lean in to him, and Dean was ready. It was something he had waited for a while now, Scarlett's affections. He closed his hazel eyes, his head slightly tilted up to meet her height in his lap. Scarlett's lips were gentle with his, fragile almost. Dean became so helplessly lost in the kiss, his mind spinning and his arms becoming weak. His first kiss, with Scarlet in the snow. Maybe he wouldn't hate snow so much anymore. Deans searing hand rested on her waist, absently rubbing her sides.

When they finally pulled away, Dean still had his eyes closed, and the silliest lopsided grin she had ever seen. "Woah," he whispered a bit hoarsely, clearing his throat as his hazel irises reappeared. "I wanna stay here with you... Forever," Dean sighed a bit dreamily, a sucker for Scarlett's beauty, personality, and now- kisses. He took his temperature into account, taking calming breaths to slow his thumping heart in his chest. "I love you so much, Scarlett, and I swear... Nothing will ever separate us again," he vowed firmly, serious for once in his life. After a moment, his features softened again, little old Dean returning almost immediately. "So... Are we boyfriend and girlfriend now?" He asked a bit confused as to how the whole relationship thing worked. Three years of knowing each other, he was sure they could be an item now. The first class bell rung loudly from the bell tower somewhere on campus, but Dean wasn't too concerned. He didnt care if anyone came out of their classes and laughed at them in the snow. He was happy here, and those kids would most likely get hurt.

((This post was really off sorry!!))

((FINALLY got time to reply XD ))

Scarlett still had her eyes closed, his skin almost burning her at this point. Though it felt nice since it was so icy and freezing outside, plus she was wearing shorts. Her body leaned into his slightly, but she wasn’t putting all her weight on him. “Boyfriend and girlfriend?” She smiled at the thought, belonging to someone. Especially someone she cared about so so much. “Only if you want to be. I love you so much, Dean...” She murmured softly, having not been loved by somebody since she was 11 years old. It had been tough growing up in those wretched labs, but Dean had softened the blow.

“You don’t have to never hold another girl’s hand... I just... I like knowing I belong to you and you belong to me.” She whispered, deciding to place loving little feathery kisses all across his cheek and neck. Even if people were exiting their classes and going off to second hour, she didn’t want to move. After all, it wasn’t like one day would mess her up. She had straight A+’s, despite how long they’d been in the scientists’ evil clutches. She was a quick learner, and she’d always been one to help Dean with anything. If he needed her to help him with classes, she’d do so immediately and sacrifice whatever she had already planned.

Her hands slowly slid around his sides only to wrap her arms around his body, her hands gliding over his shoulder blades. Finally opening her eyes, she looked up at him lovingly as she paused her kisses. “But about you being hot...” She giggled slightly, finally revealing those emotions she’d bottled up for so long. It had been awhile since she’d been herself around someone, but Dean she was comfortable with. So comfortable, that she’d be willing to do anything with him. “It’s true. I’m pretty sure... If you’d let me style your hair, I could make you look even sexier than you already do.” She blushed and hid her face in his shoulder once more.

It was true, she loved touching his hair when he wasn’t paying attention. It was so soft, and she was lucky to even be allowed permission to do it in the first place. He hated when people messed with his hair, but she liked how it looked on him. Even when it was messy it made him look utterly gorgeous. In her opinion, she was the luckiest girl on earth. Heck, who knew if they’d even take this relationship further? To turn it into something that lasted longer? That was in the future, which Scarlett didn’t like to think about too much. It held too much secrecy for bad things to happen. Sure, good things could happen too, but in her case it was rare.

Sighing contentedly, she nudged her face against his shoulder before pulling away to stretch her arms. “We should go to class... But I don’t want to leave you.” She sighed, looking down at his chest sadly. What if they couldn’t find each other again? Even if this school was huge, it seemed that the halls would always be crowded. “I can’t lose you again...” She frowned and closed her eyes, lifting her head to blink them open and look into his beautiful hazel eyes. “I’ll give you my room number and you can give me yours? I’m sure the teacher’s wouldn’t pay attention if you came over or if I came over...” She shrugged, her expression hopeful.

E M M A ((This post was so cute!!))

Dean had his arm draped around Scarlett's lower back, using his other arm to prop himself up in the grass where the snow had melted and turned the dirt into mud. He could feel it squelching under his shoes and rear, making it extremely uncomfortable and embarrassing. However, he didnt say anything, unwilling to sacrifice Scarlett in such a comfortable hold. His hazel eyes lit up like a child's, a small hopeful smile on his face. "You really mean it? Real boyfriend and girlfriend?" Dean whispered, hardly able to contain the excitement and giddiness in his voice. "Yes!" He blurted at her offer, his heat causing the grass to wilt around him. "I mean- err- yes, I'll be your boyfriend," he beamed like a fool, hugging Scarlett briefly before planting a soft kiss on her cheek. It took a little courage, something as simple as a kiss, but he had managed. And now? He had a girlfriend, his first girlfriend ever.

Scarlett's cascading hair fell over her shoulders, small flakes resting on them like little white polka dots. Dean stroked her hair over her shoulder, careful to begin lowering his core temperature, for her sake. His girlfriends sake. "You don't know how much I've missed you, scar... I cried almost every night," dean mentioned sheepishly. "I'm yours, and I won't hold any other persons hand, not any girl or guy," he assured her, before realizing how weird his words sounded. He didnt see himself holding a guys hand, but you never knew what could happen. "I've never... Belonged to anyone before," dean mused, closing his eyes and biting back a smile as Scarlett began to kiss him gently, soft little pecks on his cheek and neck.

He nearly protested when Scarlett had stopped, his arms now squeezing her gently to him almost protectively. A fiery blush spread on his cheeks, refusing to accept the fact that he was 'hot' in any other way than body temperature, since he could literally control heat and fire. "Th-thanks, i guess?" Dean managed to stumble over his words, clearly embarassed by the complimenting. "My hair...? You'd do that?" Dean asked slowly, subconsciously dragging his fingers to the rather unkempt brown strands, awry after being in a beanie for so long. "Maybe then... I won't have to wear a hat all the time," dean murmured, remembering how he always switched off between a beanie and a SnapBack, even in the labs. He hated his hair, thinking it was hideous.

At the mention of classes, suddenly Dean felt like rolling in mud, eating grass, anything but going to classes. You could see the discomfort in his features, already starting to squirm in the seat of his muddy sweatpants. He hugged Scarlett's small frame, realizing really how petite- despite being a year older than him- and light she really was. He liked having her on his lap, being able to share his excessive heat with someone. His hand was set firmly on her waist, the other rubbing the sides of her bare thigh to warm her up. Shorts? Dean was still incredulous. Some people crossed the courtyard in their little clusters, a little disgusted with the PDA that looked a little more than what they were really doing, whispers floating around them before they were gone. "No, don't leave me-! I can't go to biology, I can't," dean gulped, a fear in his eyes. "My teacher hates me, all te kids make fun of me cause I'm older and I still can't... Still can't read," Deans hazel eyes remained in his lap, unsettled.

"You have to come over, every day, okay?" Dean made her promise, a pinky held out for her to swear on. "I don't have any roommates, I'm sure you could even stay," he mentioned softer, a little too hopeful on that one. "I gotta write your number down somewhere, maybe my arm..." He mused, slowly stretching his arms over his head with a yawn. He wasnt going to biology, he'd change sweatpants for another pair, clean himself up a bit, and curl up in bed. In the winter, he tended to appreciate hibernation more than classes, and today he had missed his harder ones. At least he could still make it to English after lunch. Bleh. "I... My room number is... Is..." Dean blanked, dozens of numbers he couldn't make sense of swirling in masses in front of his very eyes. "I don't know... Maybe... 144? I think it starts with a 1, we're on the first floor..." He mused getting something he heard from another student mixed up. The rooms started at zero on the ground floor, his floor. He was telling Scarlett a number... On the second floor.

message 22: by [deleted user] (new)

Scarlett visibly shuddered when he even touched her bare thigh, part of her glad that she’d worn shorts. Just his touch had sent goosebumps across her skin, making her blush at the effect he had on her. “Those kids are just stupid. Don’t worry... I was really confused in math class. I had to get private tutoring from the teacher.” She sighed, leaning into him a little more. “You know what... Screw classes. Today, I just want to be with you. More like every day for the rest of my life...” She murmured contentedly, leaning up to give a quick peck to his lips. She blushed, having been a little nervous about even doing that.

Just a small kiss had made her gather up her courage, which she figured would slowly go away with time. She got up finally, reaching out to help him up. “How about we go take our showers then meet back up at your room? By the way, rooms on the first floor start with zero.” She rolled her eyes playfully at him. Even if he had moments like this, she still loved him so so much. It was unconditional. No matter what he did, she’d love him always. Part of her just knew it was inevitable and that he’d end up in her future. Though she didn’t like to think about the future too much, it scared her. But she figured that if Dean was in it, then things would be a lot easier to think about.

She shivered slightly at the loss of contact, just wishing she could curl up in his arms. “I just want to cuddle with you.” She smiled, feeling childish at the thought. The mud made squishing noises as she stepped around him, making sure she wasn’t standing with her legs on either side of him anymore. She hadn’t realised it, but she’d been doing so and made it impossible for him to get up. So she moved and held out a hand to him once more. “Then do your hair... Then kiss you... Then... I don’t know I just want to be with you.” She laughed a little, not used to expressing herself like this. It made her feel... Free.

The way Dean made her feel, so loved and cared for, had ignited her old self. Even if she was a little crazy sometimes, (who wouldn’t be after being locked up for most of their lives?) he still loved her for who she was. That meant so much to her that she felt willing to do anything for him to repay it. He was so amazing to her, and in every way perfect. At least, that was her opinion. “Because I have a roommate... Things could get awkward. Like those stupid kids looking over at us now...” She frowned, glaring over at them with reddening eyes. It angered her how easily people could get mad at Dean. He didn’t deserve this.

((Sorry for the lack of paragraphs, kind’ve rushing XD ))

E M M A ((Oh it's okay! I love it<3))

Dean found little comfort in Scarlett's words, knowing she was only saying them to make him feel a little better about himself. It wasnt working, because Dean already knew deep in his heart that he would never be able to read, write, or be smart. Ever. He would probably take biology the rest of his high school years, and he wasn't even going to bother with college. However, he did perk up at Scarlett's suggestion, nodding eagerly. "Oh, can we please? I want to be with you more," dean pleaded, making Those puppy dog eyes he mastered so well with Scarlett. He blushed hearing that Scarlett wanted to be with him every day of her life, immediately wondering again if Scarlett had been the one in his future. A soft kiss on the lips brought him back to reality, a bashful smile hiding on his face.

"I'm real muddy, look at this," he complained jokingly, twisting his back to show her the back of his school uniform tshirt, stained completely. Scarlet began to shift on his lap, standing with a little difficulty over him. He tilted his head back and squinted in the daylight, reaching his hands up to her outstretched ones. "Hey, shut up, it's probably just 44 then," Dean muttered, his cheeks deep pink. Even if Scarlett was joking, anything regarding his education or knowledge of things put him on edge. "So showers, then you're coming back, not in shorts," dean confirmed, wriggling in the mud as he struggled to stand up.

Dean had goosebumps just thinking about cuddling with Scarlett, since it was the one thing he did best. "I can't wait," dean murmured, sitting a little helplessly until Scarlett moved. "There we go," he laughed jokingly, using Scarlett's outstretched hand to help him up. "Aww... Look at that! They're ruined," dean moaned, always self conscious about how well he took care of his clothes. Having limited possessions always made you conserve and take care of what little you had. "You can do my hair, and kiss me as much as you want, then we could cuddle somewhere nice, huh?" Dean suggested, looping his arms around Scarlett and hugging her gently.

He took Scarlett's hand, stretching his sore body, and led her through the snow that melted partially with every step he took. "You can visit me, I don't like going out much... Maybe we can find our own special place, somewhere secret... The place is huge, we could find somewhere..." Dean mused, a bit of awe and curiosity in his voice. "Hey, they're stupid, ignore them," he pointed out, seeing Scarlett's red eyes glow. He'd gotten used to dirty looks, almost to it the insults and the physical bullying. One of the rather spidery kids had recently joined the Bully Dean club, stripping him down to his underwear and using those spidery webs to plaster him to his bedroom door for all who passed to see. The hallways were coed, so everyone had seen that day, made a fool of him with spider and sticky jokes. That day had been particularly harsh, one he needed Scarlett in the most when the physics teacher had to cut him down, everyone watching. Dean opened the door they had come out alot earlier, memories of Tegan returning to his mind again. He had forgotten about her, about everyone whil in the snow with Scarlett. He removed his shoes caked with mud and dragged them on the snow outside from the inside doorway, before satisfied enough. He held them in his hand while e walked in the hallways, extremely jumpy. He didnt hold Scarlett's hand for her sake, not wanting her to seem bad next to his muddy, scruffy appearance. "This way," he murmured, passing through the lounge to the student dorms.

Scarlett frowned when she noticed that he was okay with the people messing with him and taunting him. She let Dean walk ahead of her so that she could use her lasers to burn a hole through one guy’s shoe, causing him to jump around on one foot in pain. A smirk made it’s way to her lips before she followed Dean, content with the idea of finding their own secret place to hang out. “That’d be cool. I kind’ve taught that guy a lesson. I’m not letting them push you around like this, Dean.” She told him, sliding a gentle hand down his muddied arm.

Scarlett already had mud all over her shoes, a bit of it on her hands now from touching him. “And I don’t care what people think of me when I’m with you. I jut want them to know I’m yours.” She said before taking a hold of his hand, her eyes fairly glowing red. She wasn’t that upset, just only at the fact that all these people had been so terrible to him, and she hadn’t been around. It made her upset and she felt like she needed to make it up to him somehow, especially now that they were in such an intimate relationship. She loved it, she loved spending time with him. She loved him.

If she ever lost him, she didn’t know what she’d do. Swinging their hands back and forth, she glared at anyone who even looked at them. “I can’t ignore them, Dean. I know people talk about me behind my back, I know I’m strange. Come on, I didn’t even know how to dress today. I wore shorts in the snow. I’m crazy and I talk to myself, sometimes I hear the scientists in my head, and I think they’re here, but they’re not. I feel like I’m still there sometimes. Just stuck and everything was just a dream...” She shook her head.

“Sorry... I kind’ve went on about that... Don’t worry about me.” She sighed, running her clean hand through her hair stressfully. She really didn’t want Dean to worry about her, especially since he already had enough problems of his own right now. All she wanted was for Dean to feel happy and loved, which is what she felt like around him. If there was any way to return the way he made her feel... She’d do it. “I’ll do something special for you once you’re out of the shower, okay?” She smiled sweetly, leaning in to kiss his cheek.

Back in the labs, she’d always rubbed is back if he was enraged over anything, or even stressing about his family. It had made her feel nervous, just touching him and all, but she liked to make him feel happy and relaxed. So she planned on doing it again, to maybe revive their good memories. Just as she realised what it sounded like, she blushed and shook her head, “No, I won’t be naked. Don’t get your hopes up.” She smiled playfully, looping her arm around his own as she pulled him closer.

E M M A "You did what...?" Dean gasped, his eyes clouding over with worry as he halted, turning to see a guy that had earlier been mocking them from afar was nearly in tears. "What did you do? Scar, you can't 'teach them a lesson'! They'll hurt you, they'll find a way, no matter how strong you are... It's better to give up, let them do what they want, let it pass," dean scolded her, a bit upset. Would he find her spider-webbed to her door tomorrow? He draped his muddy arm around himself, hugging his stomach as it growled softly. So he hadnt eaten two meals in a row, was a bit hungry after being spoiled with three meals a day these past two years.

Dean was extremely troubled now, with Scarlett's insistence that everyone know who she was, and who she was with. Youre gonna wish you hadnt, he thought silently, diverting his eyes from a group bustling through the hallway, squeezing Scarlett's hand extra hard. He waited until they had all passed before moving again, feeling rather small again. Even with Scarlett back at his side, he wasnt so sure he felt invincible like he did at the labs. For some reason, the kids here frightened him more than the scientists. "Alright, Scarlett," was all he said, followed by a heavy sigh, the school bell announcing the start of the second class. They had to avoid those who roamed the halls.

Scarlett abruptly burst at him, speaking flustered with her hands motioning as her eyes burning hot orange. He knew that hot orange, the one that always surfaced when Scar was incredibly angered. Dean had stopped in the middle of the empty hallway, doors on either side beginning the dorm rooms. He hls both of Scarlett's hands between them, waiting until she was finished to even speak. "Welcome to my life since preschool," Dean sighed a bit dejectedly, feeling nothing but pity for his girlfriend. Wait until it gets worse, he thought to himself. "It's okay, Scar, I know it really sucks, but... We can get through this, together, just ignore them like I said, just ignore them," he spoke soothingly, even if his words werent the least bit comforting.

"We're here now, we're safe, you don't have to worry about the scientists anymore. Just the annoying brats," dean murmured, rubbing circles on the backs of her palms, finding himself calm down as well. "If anything else bother you, I want to know," Dean encouraged even after she dismissed the subject, leaning into his chest as they began to walk again. He froze up a little hearing Scarlett's promise, a bit nervous for what something special meant. He hoped it was bringing him a banana split or something, but he wouldn't get his hopes up. Maybe they'd raid the kitchen secretly after try showered.

Dean laughed, his confused expression diminishing after Scarlett explained herself. "Scarlett...!" He howled, poking her sides teasingly. Good. "It's this one.... Room 75," Dean grimaced, looking at the plaque on his door. Not even close to 44, and it was way deeper in than he had realized. The 60's, 70's, and 80's were in this particular set of corridors, with the remainder of the numbers in separate hallways. Dean wriggled with the doorknob, frustrated. The kids had somehow messed with the lock mechanism, so that it broke from time to time. Dean finally busy his shoulder through the door with relief, finding that it swung open just fine.

Some rooms had to share bathrooms, whether they were connected between the two rooms, or if the bathroom was itself somewhere in the hallway. The place had been rebuilt before it opened as a boarding school, several wings and new rooms transformed into bedrooms and classrooms. The place had been some kind of castle-type estate anyway, so there was plenty of room. Dean showed her inside, gently putting his muddy shoes on the bathroom floor, atop a towel in the bathroom he had all to himself. The room was rather empty, despite four well placed identical beds. You could tell dean was living in the corner by the window bed, just by the fact the sheets were rumpled and his drawer had a sock sticking out from it. "It's a bit quiet, but it works..". Dean trailed off, hands on his hips.

Scarlett faked a smile when he told her that she could tell him anything. Could she? What would he think of her if he knew... About the voices. They were always in her head. She didn’t even know who they belong to, or if they were completely made up. All she knew was that whenever she went to bed, she always heard voices right before she slept. It drove her mad sometimes, and she’d covered her ears screaming on her first night here. It had only happened since her and Dean got separated. Meanwhile she busied herself with examining the room, frowning when she realised the door was jammed.

“I’m not just going to let them screw with us. I know you think I’ll be bullied for being your girlfriend, but I don’t care. I wouldn’t care if someone... Even shot me because I love you. It’s because I love you. I’m not going anywhere, never. I’ll always be here, even if I’m a little batty.” She smiled and pressed a hand to his chest. “Anyways, you can go shower. My room is a little further down, I’ll go shower and come back, okay? Unless you want me to shower here...” She said, blushing slightly as she thought about it. Just because they’d shared clothes didn’t mean that she wanted to shower with him. Well, of course she did, being the hormonal, angsty teenager she was. Though she’d rather not take things too far on the first day other having a relationship.

“I hear voices...” She suddenly blurted out, mentally hitting herself. Why didn’t she ever really have a filter between her head and her mouth? “When I go to bed... I hear voices in my head.” She explained to him, looking down embarrassedly. “Listen, I... I didn’t mean to tell you that...” She said, turning her back to him so that she could look at the wall. She didn’t want to meet his gaze at this point. What if he thought she was completely crazy? Sometimes, the voices would get so bad that she’d hide under her bed crying. Her roommate had told her that there was nobody there, so it had to be in her head. What was wrong with her?

(Sorry for the shortness, going somewhere soon :P )

E M M A Dean was wide eyed, even More so shocked that she would even say what she did. She'd let her get shot, over him? It was completely unacceptable, and dean didnt know what to expect from her. How far would she get hurt because she loved him? "Just... Just don't get injured, swear to me," dean whispered, his face slightly paling. "If you were shot because you loved me, I'd never forgive myself... Id probably follow you," Dean admitted, his stomach aching just thinking about death. He still had his moms funeral that would happen any time to think about, thanks to Tegan.

Dean hugged Scarlett lovingly, appreciating the feel of her hand on his chest, the tickle of her long hair against his arms. "Just down the hall? We've been this close all along?" Dean asked a little incredulous and angry at himself. He never really journeyed down the hall, due to a particularly massive scary guy who had threatened him on te first day, called him a 'squirt'. "Y-you can do whatever you want, so long as you're here when I get out of the shower," dean murmured shyly, avoiding Scarlett's eyes as he blushed. He had accidentally seen Scarlett topless, just once, in the labs, when she failed to tell him she was changing and he walked in on her in the lab bathroom. That was all that had invaded deans innocence- otherwise, he was pure hearted.

Dean had turned to pick out some new clothes from his drawer, appreciating the fct that he had options, before Scarlett blurted the unthinkable. She heard what? He froze, turning his head to look at Sarlett a little funny. "You hear coices? At night? Are you sure it's not your roommates, or the people outside?" dean asked slowly, a bit bewildered. It couldn't be another power, could it? "Are you okay? No, tell me about your voices, I won't... I won't judge you by it, and you're my girlfriend, so... I wanna hear about it," dean said firmly, his lips pursed. Dean threw a fireball from his palm into the small fireplace he had managed to fix up, the soft flames dancing across the logs and giving off heat in the rather cold room.
