Jason Oliver | 3047 comments This idea is taken from the movie Midnight in Paris. Many people feel they have been born in the wrong time period. Things were easier in the past. So, what time period you you want to live 50 years of adult life. Who would you seek out to learn more about and try to befriend and what events would to observe or take part in. Why? Have you read books about these people or events? What books?

Susie I feel like I’m right where I should be. I can’t imagine life without the internet!

Jason Oliver | 3047 comments Susie. I tell my wife all the time. I can live without TV, indoor plumbing, grocery stores, and even other people but I can't live without internet.

LibraryCin | 11695 comments It wasn't long ago I thought I would never be able to give up tv. I still haven't but I watch it less and less. At this point, I think Internet would be the hardest... (no, indoor plumbing would be the hardest! LOL!), but to be honest, when I'm on holiday (not visiting my parents or my brother), I give up both tv and internet during that time.

Susie I’ve tried giving up internet on holidays and I just can’t! The closest I can get is no Facebook!

Amy | 12930 comments I'm with Susie! I love my life and every aspect of it. I adore historical fiction, but wouldn't truly want to live in any other time. I could deal with the return of critical thinking, social discourse, and a lot more civility in our culture. The loss of simple social expectations makes me crazy. But what a time for free thinking, blending and softening of constructs, individual expression, creativity and spirituality.
