Age: Physically 17; was created 35 years ago.
Gender: Genderless, technically (because of her species), but basically female.
Species: Android
Personality: Vanna often struggles with short-term memory issues, and she’s somewhat paranoid. Also, she doesn’t like to lose at anything—she’ll get sulky very fast if she’s not winning. However, she has a good heart, and she’ll do anything to calm someone else down if they’re upset.
Background: Vanna was created in the futuristic technocracy called the Cyber Republic; she was a mindless service android, meant to complete menial tasks for the army. However, when the troop she served was sent on a mission to a theocracy called New Bethlehem, she short-circuited and almost crashed (the android version of dying). A young priest named Jeremiah rescued and repaired her, but the incident changed her wiring, allowing her to be capable of free thought. She fell in love with Jeremiah; afterwards. she often met him secretly at the fence separating their nations. Unfortunately, the leaders found out. Jeremiah was exiled, and he later died in the wilderness. As for Vanna, the scientists who made her attempted to reset her hardware. She broke free and ran away in the middle of the procedure; the lasting effects now cause her to forget things easily and act somewhat childlike.

Appearance:


Abilities: froster/ hydrokinetic
- She is able to manipulate the form of water from vapor to liquid to ice, molding it into the exact shape she wants. Theoretically she could create tsunamis and freeze countries with a decade of training under her belt. 5 years finished, 5 to go.
- Can coat areas/living beings/inanimate objects in ice.

Control over abilities: in smaller, finer situations she is an expert, but when it come to larger scales it becomes a struggle and often she will loose control over her powers, unleashing havoc on both what surrounds her and herself. Bigger the power usage is, the bigger the toll on the body is.

Personality:
-Sera tends to be an all or nothing person. Either she loves it or hates it. So excites she can't sit still, or dreading it so much she will fake being sick.
-Sarcasm is her first language
-empathetic and caring, would give up her time to play with littles
-academicly inclined
- if she's not reading she's reading
-not a fan of crowds or people in general.
- Not a trusting person, that happens when your raised in an environment where backstabbing and betrayal are a part of everyday life.

Background:
Nobody ever expects smooth sailing in their life. Clear skies, strong breezes, and warm weather just seems to much to ask for. However, no one expects tsunamis to just role in without warning!
I mean, my gifts unexpectedly initiated when I was still young. Most people don't show signs of initiation till 14. As for me? I was 9. Record smashing young and making me an instant outcast. People don't react well to a untrained proteges scoring an overall 9.2 in scoring categories. I was forced what is considered a "bright future." Right, working for my government to do their dirty work and threaten people to make them obey. Best. Future. Ever.
People chose my life for me. I wasn't asked about what I wanted. They set me on the path to become part of the Eliteirs. The government's elite task force; nobody knows their faces or names. Each member is "erased" from memories of their families and brought up in an isolated training facility.
Even for an Eliteir I was early and powerful. Most take 7 years to graduate, but me? I took four years.
By 14, and I was the squad leader. And my team? Well, we had our first mission.

- When in a stable mood her control is near pitch perfect
- But when upset, angry, or feeling any particularly strong emotion her powers grow stronger, powered by what she feels.
* Anger makes everything much stronger and harder to control
* Grief/ Sadness creates an easier time with destroying large structures/areas
* Joy/ Serenity assists in bringing beauty and warmth

Personality:
- Rebellious against the restrictions the palace places upon her
- Only feels free and at peace soaring among the clouds
- Compassionate
- Brutally honest
- Chilled exterior shell intended to deter people from conversing/speaking to her

- Loves using what she can do to brighten someones day, though rarely gets the chance because of palace restraints

Background:
* I was born with the ability to spread warmth and beauty, able to improve someones day. Yet my parents see what I can do as a curse.
* "Future royals do not spend all day with lessers. They do not let their true emotions show, They do not do anything even remotely human. Royals. Must. Be. Perfect."
* Eventually, when I was younger and still able to act out, they found a type of crystal that could block my gifts. It is only in the past few years, since I have been crowned, "Princess Royal," They decided I was ready to no longer be restrained.
* Everyday, as long as the sun is up, I am the perfect daughter. No matter how it breaks my heart, I keep a diamond hard, unbreakable barrier. "You need permission to plant more crops beside the royal garden? Sorry, but it would ruin the landscape! How dare you disrupt my life with needs of keeping yourself alive! "
* It feels like my wings are pinned! Why can't they just let me be free? Our kingdom hates the royal family and I hate what I must become to keep my life. It isn't me....

Background:
* They say that true power is a mere illusion, something people can never fully possess. The unbelievers? They have no idea how wrong they really are.
* I was the son of my herd's leader, the first Alicorn born into the tribe. It wasn't long after this that I was given the appointment of "protector of the winged" meaning; I guide everyone between grazing lands, I keep everyone safe from outside threats, and I am typically given the honor, respect, and awe of my tribe-mates.
* No position is ever perfect, and being the guardian of the tribe is never a dull job. It takes most of my energy and strength to keep everyone safe and my powers in check.

History: When Snowflake was a young filly, she had discovered her father's temper. Her father was easily displeased and tended to take it out on others. She received a wound on her forehead one time that to this day is a scar she hides with her forelock. She was always afraid of him, but the fear was instilled deep in her the day her father killed her mother. He had flown into a wrathful rage that left her mother lying on the ground, bleeding to death. Her father than fled into the forest and was never seen again. She had to learn to survive on her own.

Personality: Because of her dark past, Snowflake is extremely wary of other creatures. She tends to move on whenever she hears of one moving into the area. She has traveled far and wide. She used to be soft-hearted, but this was destroyed that fateful day with her father and mother. However, perhaps the right horse could bring that back...
She loves to run, the wind whipping through her mane and pushing her forward. She loves to watch the sun rise and set, marking the days.

Appearance: She would be a pure white horse with graceful stride and fluffy mane, but she rarely spends time on her appearance anymore and so she is dirtier and more ragged then this photo. (Click to see picture)(view spoiler)

History: Moonbeam was always an independent horse. Even as a filly, she rarely listened to her parents and often went out adventuring. One day, she wandered into an old, abandoned human house. She poked a pole and it started to fall. She could do nothing but stare at it in horror as it started to descend, surely going to cripple or kill her. Suddenly, she was pushed out of the way. She heard a sickening thud as the pole descended- on to her father, who had followed her and taken the fall for her.
She decided she would leave her mother, as not to endanger her further by her adventures. Her mother wearily allowed her to go, still mourning the loss of her husband.
From that day forward, she was independent. She grew to a fine mare, no longer a filly.

Personality: She is a stubborn, clever, strong, independent, and loyal horse, sure to be a fierce friend and even fiercer enemy.

History: Despite her short life so far, Amber has had a hard life. She was born on a breeding farm that mistreated its horses. Only one day after her birth, her mother snuck her out of the stable and left her in the tall grass. Her mother had known she needed her to survive much longer, but thought that she would still have a better life this way. Amber was found by a woman who brought her to the woman's stable and took care of her. Amber became very attached to the woman, but she was sold at an auction once she was strong enough to survive on her own. Her new owners were cruel to her in treating her like a machine and not like a living, breathing creature, and one night, she escaped. She slipped away from their farm and now lives in the wild, though she is not fully knowledgeable on how to survive alone.

Personality: Despite her troubling past, Amber is soft-hearted and kind. She hopes to find another horse that will be her friend in the wild, but has had no luck so far. She loves the sun shimmering on her coat and the wind whipping through her mane, and loves a good run.

History: Thunderstorm was born to two horses, neither one of them horned or winged. He had a sister that was also normal. He grew up..the different one. His parents didn't know what to do with him, and his sister was afraid of him. He took to sneaking off alone, gazing at the stars and dreaming of what could have been. He is now a full-grown adult, large and powerful.

Personality: Despite his large stature and intimidating stance, he is truly a soft, clever creature. He has the power to create storms and make them disappear, but few know of it.

History: Ebony was born to two unicorns who were both disappointed he was not a unicorn as well. They only partially tried to hide their disappointment. He was observant and easily saw through their thin facade. Gradually, his sadness over his parent's obvious distaste for him became a boiling rage that he hid deep inside them. One day, he was through and ran off. Neither parent followed, but his brother tried to stop him in vain. From that day forward, he lived alone.

Personality: Ebony is a tough, strong individual. He fights for what he believes in and doesn't care about what anyone says- or will he with the right horse? He is stubborn and strong, and cares only for himself- or will that change with the right horse too?

Background:
* I have always differed from my people in beliefs of how life should be lived. In this day and age my people live in extravagant, jeweled castles, with every comfort at their beck and call. They believe themselves to live in a society cleansed of every disease. It feels like only I alone see the dressed-up version of a lost city.
* For this reason I chose to leave the extravagant luxuries my people surround themselves in. No longer am I a member of a superstitious society, but the only member of the Children of Nature . My home is now in the forests of Exile, among the fauna and flora. It is only here that unrivaled beauty can be found. Only here that I am at home.
* I was trained at Exillium and have since graduated from the, "reformation," camp. As far as I know, my telekinesis is unrivaled by any other elf, with the exception, perhaps, of the schools coaches. In the days that have followed since graduating I have built my home and begun honing my other skills.
* To my surprise I found I can grow plants within a few seconds from seeds to full size. Not only that, but I can choose the way they twist and grow. I can reverse or add to the age of a plant, regrow lost limbs on them, and even cause them to turn to ash. It is no wonder gardenistia is taught under such strict regimens!

Abilities: The enhanced gifts of speed, stealth, and archery given to all Hunters of Artemis, as well as the gift of eternal youth as long as she does not fall in battle. The final ability is a gift of healing from her father, Apollo.
- She remains the same appearance as when she joined the hunt, and does not age, forever the same appearance as when she joined.
- Only minor healings can be performed by her, with use of ambrosia and nectar. Anything past a broken bone is beyond her abilities.
* Any attempts to heal a mortal will end up with the human as a pile of ashes.

Background:
* I had always struggled with fitting into the modern world of the 1900's. Other girls were interested in themselves and boys. I didn't get it. Personally? Boys irritate me and often make me mad. I mean really? you bully me just because I can hunt better than most professionals, and because I prefer to use a bow?!? Using rifles is just cheating.
* Honestly! It drives me nuts how close-minded people are. Doesn't help that I'm a semi-orphan. Outliving my mortal parent by 87 years....and almost certainly for many more centuries to come.
* I met Artemis in the woods when I was on an overnighter. Needed to blow of steam after one of the school bullies snapped my hunting bow. I was in such a bad mood I didn't take kindly to another teenage girl stealing my kill. I has marched up to the twelve year old silver-haired girl, ready to give her more than just a piece of my mind.
* To my surprise, as soon as I started yelling she calmly walked past me, picking up the shattered pieces of my bow. Turning to face me again, she asked if the bow was mine and I responded with a yes. The young girl shook her head and swung off her backpack, pulling out a beautifully crafted silver bow. It was significantly superior to my broken bow, and would have been even if my bow was intact.
* "i take it some boy smashed your bow?" Artemis inquired.
* "Yes, how did you know?"
* "It looks like it was crushed with baseball glove sized hands."
* We then spoke for several hours, Artemis slowly revealing who she was and why she had sought me out. I was more than happy to take the hunters' vow of maidenhood. It has to be admitted that some pretty epic advantages came as a bonus. I have since stood by my ladies side as a loyal lieutenant.

* One demigod ended up as a rose...didn't exactly look fabulous on her resime

Personality:
* flirtatious; sees boy, flirts, sees new boy, flirts (and repeat)
* generous; she would give her life for anyone, no matter how much of a stranger they are
* wise; always has counselling for a friend in need
* supportive; she will work as hard as she needs to in order to help someone
* upbeat; cheerleading/laughing/smiling/glass half full kind of girl
* persistent; talking about it 5 times and getting no every time is like getting a probably to her.
* Stubborn; you think getting a stick out of mud is hard? Try moving a nymph that has literally rooted herself in place!
* Driven; she chooses a goal then goes full out to complete it in the shortest amount of time possible!

Background:
* It has never been easy being a dryad. You literally spend your WHOLE LIFE protecting the tree your life force is tied to. I never EVER get a good nights sleep >>! There's always a woodpecker or a wood eating beetle or a grub or a piece of rotting wood that needs to be removed to it won't attract decomposers or some other issue! It. Makes. Me. CRAZY.
* I mean yea living in the wilderness can sound nice, but its hard work and super-duper competitive! Especially in the days since Pan (god of nature/fauna) passed on and gave his blessings to a saytr of camp half-blood. Nature lost it's most powerful force and the flora and fauna have since become less resilient.
* It SO does not help that these demigods have a camp near by! the male demigods of Demeter cabin are always flirting with nymphs and dryads. Most enjoy playing games and making bets to see if they can earn a kiss......I don't. I have only ever fallen for one demigod or male ever, and he became Kronos' host body and killed himself to save the world. I have wonderful taste in men.

Background:
* Growing up in Asgard, it was never easy for me to maintain the aloof attitude expected of Valkyrie. I worked with the older guides, studying the correct formalities, wording to release the dying spirit, and the way to use the stars as my guide to and from Valhalla.
* I was always taught to warmly welcome the brave spirits, bringing them to their suite and waiting them to freshen up, then escort them to the welcome banquet. New members arrived everynight, filling up the halls of the hotel. Luckily, we magically never run out of room.
* I loved my job, it was not much work and fun to have an excuse to be incredibly vain. As my mother puts it, "The appearance of the Valkyrie reflects that of her Enjari.
* My only problem? Sometimes the men got quite smitten with me.....and once? Once I was smitten with whom I was escorting. Breaking rule #1 in the Valkyrie code, "The Enjari are to be respected and cared for, not fallen in love with. If the Enjari fell for the escort it was the escorts job to rebuff him. But, what if they fell for each other? A fallen soldier and a Valkyrie? As far as I knew that had never happened before!

Living in the wild her entire life, Rogue is rough and fierce. She has a deep hatred of humans, and hunts viciously for her food.
Intolerant
Don't challenge her authority in any way or form if you don't want to feel her teeth. Yes, she's a female alpha. Got a problem with that? She doesn't even take a word of impudence from her pack; they might get a wound that'll heal in a few days instead of a fatal wound.
Stubborn
She won't change her ways, no matter what anyone says. You'll feel her teeth if you try to advise her.
History:
Rogue used to be the daughter of a pack's alpha. When she turned one, however, her father wanted her to prove her worth. He set her against a two-year-old male. She was told that if she lost the fight, she would be banished from the pack; if she won, she would be honored and respected. She lost.

Brewing with anger, she left the pack. She was forced to learn to hunt and survive on her own. She never forgot her father, or the wolf she fought. If she ever found either again, their lives would be very short.

Once, a young she-wolf asked for her protection. Rogue started to turn her away, but noticed how thin she was, and how lost she seemed. Taken, she agreed to help her and they formed their own pack. Others joined gradually. Some challenged her authority, and their lives were very short.

To this day, her pack has around twenty wolves, including a few pups. They rule the forest and are formidable fighters.

She has always seemed to be set apart; never social with her peers or particularly emotional.

Erika will block out any distractions she has to in order to accomplish the mission.
Suspicious
She believes not all threats lay beyond the borders of her homeland, and that something is amiss within her home.
Isolated
It is not only her that believes she is different in a significant way, but her peers as well. There is just this feeling she seems to radiate that has a unique, uncertain tone to it.
Calm
Erika always puts forward an exterior of calm certainty, hiding the doubts, fears, and concerns behind this shield.

Background:

Before Trial
Growing up, my life and beliefs were centered around one thing and one thing only; Eiracade: the sword in the crystal. No one knows how it came to rest in the caverns beneath the castle, but everyone knows the legends that follow it.

They say that someday, one with pure intent and the crystal of ice will retrieve Eiracade when her kingdom is in dire need of a guardian. Rising to the challenge, the retriever will use the gifts of ice and snow to remove the invaders, or, if necessary, remove them.

Because of this, my people are always seeking the "Retriever" to free the sword. The method that has developed over the years is simple; when a child has reached his 15th year he ventures into the caverns. Only two outcomes have ever resulted in this; either the venture returns safely, but with no sword, or he never returns to his people.

In two days time, it is my turn to face the trial. I only hope I will not become one of the lost. If it was allowed, those who have gone before me would have shared their stories and advised the future generations. But, as is, when someone has returned safely from the trial they are sworn to secrecy and banned from discussing their experiences.

After Trial
This was never the result I expected. To succeed in finding the sword AND the crystal? it is unheard of, never done before...

It has not exactly made my peers any more welcoming towards me and forebodes the separation and lone life I face. The ceremony was held several days ago and I now approach the border of the kingdom with apprehension.

My people seem to think the threat will come from beyond our, "Safe and harmonious," land. I, however, am not so sure. This kingdom is ruled by an oligarchy. Unfortunately, these 3 leaders do not always make the best decisions and it can lead to a disruption among the individual that live in Khaya.

I do not know what is expected of a protector, but I do know this; I will not fail. I am the right choice and my home will remain safe, no matter what I have to do.

Background:

The moonlight and stars have many untapped benefits. They give strength, light, and beauty to those able to wield their gifts. It is rare that one can receive this, but Meissa is one of the lucky few.

Meissa was born a silvery white horse, a unique color among morgan horses. She was always a bit of an outcast and became even more so when her wings grew to their full size. Nobody wanted to be around a horse that was so different and noticeable.

In shame, the mare fled to the mountains in search of freedom from judgmental eyes. Exposed to all the light of the moon and stars reflecting off the ice-coated mountains, she developed a crystal-like appearance.

Over time, she became know as a fierce protector and mother to all in need. With her razor sharp feathers and decisive attitude she was a figure of respect, a representative of shame no longer.
