We've been asked to contain ourselves to the Hodge Podge folder... and I figured this title would grab the relevant people's attentions...

It's not a bad idea... I've said a few times recently I've been having a hard time following our merry jaunt around the group discussion boards... coming in unprepared had to be even worse... so many inside jokes/references were building up, and finding the source was becoming impossible...

Example: Zaara was unsure where Team Pillow Fight Club even started... I think it was from Anni making a comment in the Jaghut Guardians page and me linking some gifs... but I'd have to dig back to check...

So, now we have this thread... Enjoy!

And you are right about the origin of the pillow, you could take a look at the Jaghut Guardians Zaara, the GIF is worth is, but be careful what drinks are served ;)

You're probably right... I'd already learned to click anything in my feed that Zaara was active in, because it's usually very active among a half dozen people...

It's being worked out between the mods at this time and with respect to Zaara I'll just say she said something she shouldn't have.

Crying shame. Really hope they let her back in. That one's an original.

Jan- calling someone an idiot is rude. Particularly when that person is not there to defend themselves.

It is comments like these that are a very quick way to get people to not respect you. I have had a difficult time dealing with issues on this forum this week and my patience is at an all time low so I will leave you with this message: Stop now.

Btw, wouldn't have expected this group to have many issues. Seems like a chill place overall.

I just learned the news and I am heartbroken. I have been with Zaara in several buddy reads and she has always been sweetness incarnate. She is the spirit of the group, she always tries to bring people on boards and make them share and enjoy the book and I have never read a single malicious word from her. I grant it, her relationships with spelling and grammar and punctuation are complicated which might give space to some miscommunication issues, but I have never experienced anything else than kindness from her even if it comes in a form of chaotic verbosity.

I wanted to share it, because if something as final as a ban is executed on the basis of one mishap, then I just wanted to make sure we remember all the times her goodness showed in and weight everything in proportion.

PS Margret, I absolutely respect and appreciate all the job mods are doing, it is because of you that this group runs so smoothly. I do thank you for that because I cherish this place. I don't want to challenge the decision. I'm just sharing my feelings.

I believe this whole subject is on common sense and ppl shouldn't say things they don't say in a face to face conversation. That doesn't mean I never use the word idiot to my friends. I do. But I only do it in places where my friend wouldn't feel offended.
There shouldn't be an issued manifesto to teach ppl this. We can simply try to be sensible and empathetical.
At the same time that doesn't give us rights to harass ppl from DM either.
I actually don't understand all these conflicts on ppl insulting each other. If your opinions are different you can try presenting your position and stay at that.
If your opinions are beaten that doesn't give you an excuse to attack that person. It is your inferiority complex kicks you .....

Uh, I wasn't aware of all the bad stuff going on here... Goodreads is for me a place to have fun and discuss books, I hate it when there are disputes over bookratings that escalated and I don't understand it at all. Why don't accept there are people out there with a different opinion? I even enjoy to read reviews of people with a complete different view. To run someone down, only because you don't like the way he/she behave is even worse... and writing hate mails is bottom of the barrel. I don't want to judge anyone personal here, because I haven't seen everything that was going on, but I hope everything will work out fine. I am glad Zaara will come back and I am looking forward to have a nice time around and forget all the stupid fighting...
