Do we go to a bibliography to find out their first pub date?

Not a question, but I am SO PLEASED this is a task.

Is the "first published" referring to the author? Or does it refer to the specific book?

If it refers to the author .... can we read ANY book by that author or must it be the author's first published work?

Sorry, that obviously wan't written very well. For this task, you're looking for a book first published from 1972-1987 and that was written by a male author. I've reworded the task to (hopefully) make it clearer.

I'm sorry. I see I got confused. I thought you were saying read a author whose first published book was during those years.

On the GR main book page, you will find the "first published" date in parenthesis just below the book description.
