Thanks for checking it out. It's a good story to find out what it was really like on the Texas frontier. Based the main character on my great-great grandfather that started a homestead in the hills outside Austin, Texas. He was a respected Texas Ranger before and after the Civil War and served as a sergeant in that conflict. Your interest is much appreciated!
