I'd wanted to read this or the longest time and I finally did :D

No. I did the recommended order and have zero regrets.

So i looked at that article and think it's BS. They moved all the chronological books to the start but I think the motivation is sales. There's no way Kharkanas is as good without the history of botf. If you read deadhouse landing before NOK you would think what happened to ICE's prose.

I'd still vote for that, but I do want to throw a shout out to Bull Mountain, which surprised me and made me knock it out in just under two days.
Aside from Stormlight Archive (it's not even fair), I'd say Magic Shifts by Ilona Andrews. One of my favs of the series! :)

Kieron I was all confused about the order last week as well, but I am sticking with the order Scott and Jenna used after talking to them.

I read them in the recommended reading order and I still get confused about which book to read first.

Dark Matter
I cannot stress this enough. It's the best book I've ever read. Please, if you have the slighest interest in Speculative Fiction, read this book!

I liked DM a lot as well. I think it had a few plot faults but it was a great fast paced easy read that kept you totally entertained the entire time.

I enjoyed Dark Matter too.

Book 1 of the Fionvar Tapestry, The Summer Tree, has also been good. I could see it beating out The Passage as my top monthly read if the ending is as good as most GGK endings.

I second (third) Andrew and Olivia: The Summer Tree! Beyond fantastic, straight into the epic.

I read Dark Matter early in the year and loved it. I've recommended it to several people since.

Non Fantasy this month. My favourite read was
(Cork O'Connor #11). Fantastic mystery series and I can't believe I've read 11 of the books this year! 5 more to go and I'm up to date.
