What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

Hello. I am looking for a book. I remember that it involves a human male either being kidnapped or "sold" to these aliens. He wakes up on their ship with the collar and has trouble adjusting. The "slaves" each have their own special "master". The aliens are giants and control their "slaves" through telepathy and/or these special collars they wear. They are also "partnered" with someone else of their same species. The aliens are very narcissistic and have delusions of godhood. I thought it might have been written by Alan Dean Foster or Andre Norton, but I haven't been able to find it in their bibliographies.
