Angel, I'm glad you're enjoying the series!! I've got you down for the next two O's :)
We just need to finish 3 books to complete our first spell out! We are on our way to the 2nd! :)

Fine with me

Guess I could be up for that
I'm currently reading Blood Games -- author Chloe Neill. Characters -- Ethan Sullivan, Lucas, Catcher Bell
I'll update if there's more I've forgotten

@Angel-I agree, it's very motivating. I've also been able to get these short ones off my TBR that I probably wouldn't have read otherwise.
@Shannon--well nothing's official. I don't want you to get burned out! :)
I finished Six Moon Summer...going to see what I can read next...

But school starts Thu so I'll be home alone most of the day with not much else to do.... ;)

I finished reading Madame Tussaud: A Novel of the French Revolution. Such a long book but I ended up loving every minute of it.

Why don't you try to pick one book that you think you will enjoy...one you want to read. Maybe you'll have better luck and will be able to finish one?

@Angel--I know exactly what you mean. I think that's why I got into reading challenges in general. They get me to read books that would normally sit on my TBR for awhile, and I've ended up finding a lot of books that I really enjoyed :)
One of the teams wasn't up for the extended time, so someone threw out the idea that instead of raising the goal, to just go until the end of August and whoever has the most points wins. That way we can continue beyond next week, but we'd still end by the originally estimated 6-8 week timeframe. I think it's a good idea. We'll see if the mods go for it :)

I'm glad you enjoyed it so much! And now we have our 20 pt genre bonus :)

Agreed! I'm actually really enjoying reading all kinds of different things, different authors, etc that I might have overlooked before. There's been some I didn't enjoy so much, but I've also been pleasantly surprised too. I'm having loads of fun.
Like the idea of going for a timeframe!

I'm going to start reading Interview With the Vampire tomorrow.

Okay, thanks Lilac! I think long ones do tend to be better. More time for plot and character development. The short ones I've been reading for this challenge haven't been all that great.

I am loving this series, but I do love a good political intrigue. I didn't know much about the French line of Kings so it's all been fun and new, and I grew randomly attached to Philippe V, but now I'm reading the 5th book, The She-Wolf of France, and we're getting into more familiar territory. Let's start the 100 years war!
I know the reason I joined this group for the challenges is because all of my years playing video games has trained me to appreciate the art of setting small achievements that I can feel really super proud of reaching, and then setting another one. There aren't any sparkles or theme music with completing a book, but it's just as good.

Today was my first day back at work, so I'm trying to get as much reading time this evening as I can!

We really need at least 1 book a week from everyone, so that would be very helpful :)
