What are you reading in December 2017?

I'm currently on the The Blinding Knife. Then after I read Senlin Ascends I'm going to read The King of Elfland's Daughter and the War for the Oaks to finish the month.
I'm still reading Oathbringer. I'll start Senlin Ascends once I finish. I don't know if I'll read another book before the year ends, I'll be traveling a lot this month (YAY!)

Its a great place to be!

God Bless everyone working retail during the holidays.

Good luck Alice!
I only read five books last month and three were audio! Going that I have more time this month.
I did start Senlin, it's different.

Hope everyone has a nice month :)

Have you read Elric, Hawkmoon, & Corum, too? I never got to read all of them in any kind of order way back when, but I think I wound up reading most. I really enjoyed them, too. I don't think I read The Eternal Champion, though. Does it have the other characters in it at all?

Yep, I read gobs and reams and piles of Moorcock back in the day, and still find him enjoyable.
If you read any of the crossover stories (the ones where he brought Elric & Corum &c.) together, you also met the Eternal Champion -- he goes by the name Erekosë. The other incarnations don't actually appear in the first couple of books, at least, but they do get name-checked because he sometimes remembers previous incarnations in dreams.

I feel the same way after reading Brandon Sanderson and then Reading The Blinding Knife. Very similar.

I loved that series! I just finished the Novella Box Set and was not disappointed.

The Disappearance of Winter's Daughter is nominated for February BOM. Just needs a second. ;)

Finished The King of Elfland's Daughter. What a beautifully written book. Gave it 5 stars but deserves 10. What else can I saw. Now on to War for the Oaks.

Those are two of my favorite books.

Next, I'm going to join in with the group read as long as i can find a copy.....

I'm really enjoying War of the Oaks. I can see why they are two of your favorites.

I used to live in Eddi McCandry's apartment! Well, not exactly, but I lived in a building at the intersection of the two cross streets she names.
Also, Emma Bull is one of my favorite writers, and one whom I really wish was better known and more prolific ... I'm still waiting for that sequel to Territory.

I've preferred others by her.

What would you recommend?

For now I'm going to dive into A Fortress of Grey Ice by J.V. Jones.

Enjoy them Janette. I found 2 and 3 to be much better than 1, and i thought 1 was good! Let us know what you think

King Hereafter is a truly stunning book - the research Dunnett put into it is beyond the pale. Stick with it, it's an exceptional read.

It's not an easy read, but I'm definitely enjoying it. I hadn't been aware of the historical context of the actual Macbeth --it's much more of a Viking saga than I had realized. And it has much to commend it to readers of, say, Game of Thrones or other semi-historical highly political fantasy.
(And I picked up King Hereafter because I had read a glowing review of the Lymond Chronicles on, I believe, tor.com, but I wanted to start with something a bit more manageable in scale.)

I read The Game of Kings and really enjoyed it but it was definitely not the type of book you could just breeze through.

I´ve myself have read very little (there´s still this month!) but am quite satisfied with all of the things considered (job, marriage etc.) ;) Still am, and will always be missing Brenda though.
As every month this year, I´ll try to finish all of the books I´ve started and that I haven´t finished, so this month it´s no different.
