Tabby unfortunately no. I have also been on a hunt for similar books. have you read the spinoff version (the scarab beetle) its even better.

Jo I've read a book, "Falling for Sakura" by Alexia Praks. Its the first book in the trilogy. I don't know if you'll like it but its kinda same as the Ghost Bird series.
