Mystery/Thriller Reading Friends discussion

Hi Dan,

I was commenting on the scene where Letty tells a roomful of experienced police about clues left with a dead body. This was Sandford trying to show how smart Letty is, but ignoring the fact that most of the police surely had figured this out all by themselves without the help of a 16 y.o. since nothing she said was much more than TV wannabe forensics. It was definitely a "C'mon man!" moment in story manipulation - something I usually don't find Sandford doing.
