I hope you enjoyed the blurb I posted.
I have been interested in the field of UFOs for almost three decades. In the early 90s I used to run my own UFO investigation group. I used to go out and about investigating sightings and interview people who claimed to have had encounters with the unknown. In 1995 I embarked on a road trip to area 51 in the Nevada desert. Although I didn’t see anything spectacular it was enough to convince me that the government was hiding something in Groom Lake.
In 2012 I embarked on writing a book based on true events. I didn’t want to write just a fact based book because that would just be preaching to the choir. I didn’t want to write a book set in the USA either. Too many people assume that UFOs are just an American phenomenon.
I started to do some research and came across Winston Churchill’s memo he wrote in 1952, wanting to know more about flying saucers. I dug a little more and discovered that a group called The Flying saucer working Party operated under the Churchill Government. Their role was to monitor UFO activity over Great Britain and collect information.
After reading through many UFO reports downloaded from the national archives I started to write Codename Angel. The story follows a Cambridge Professor who is assigned to a top secret group Codenamed Angel. Professor Ralph Frederick is very sceptical of anyone who claims to have had an encounter with a UFO, until he encounters a UFO at an RAF base in the north of England.
I have set my novel in the 1950s because I am fascinated by the cold war. There is still so much we do not know. Many people just look back and say: ‘Oh yes, that period when the US and USSR weren’t getting along.’ The cold war is probably the most fascinating period of the 20th Century.
If you have any questions please ask away.
A close encounter at an RAF Base in the north of England.
Strange objects seen in the skies above Great Britain.
A mysterious stranger with the ability to see the future.
A tense standoff between Russian and American warships in the North Sea.
When Cambridge physicist Professor Ralph Frederick is summoned to the office of wartime Prime Minister Winston Churchill he is given a very unusual task.
Frederick is put on a top secret committee Codenamed Angel whose role it is to investigate flying saucer sightings which have been happening up and down the United Kingdom. Frederick’s world is turned upside down, as a diehard sceptic is soon turned when he encounters beings from another world.
