Horror for Christmas! Let's do this.
this is one of the best audiobooks I've ever listened to. it was recently knocked out of first place by Those Across the River but this book held that spot for a long, long time. I hope y'all like it.

I think I will join in. I already planned reading this in December and maybe I will just start with you.
Got a new hardcover copy at a local bookstore for less than 6 Euros so it's quite funny that Amazon is out of stock :D

That's awesome and it looks like you loved it Latasha! Makes me more excited to finally read this.
I'll have to do this on audio one day.

I think that’s pretty awesome how is the book cover in German? I wish I could read in other languages if they don’t have it in American than you have a second option instead of not getting it lol but do you think you the translation would be a big difference? And I actually just read my first Joe Hill book the other day it was Horns and I liked it thought it was pretty good so hopefully all his writing is like that because I have a few books by him I have been wanting to read, but I’ve heard so many different opinions of him.

Same! 🤣🤣

I kept holding off on it to read in December, but then having other things committed to when December got here. Glad this year is working out!

I'll be curious to hear if there are any differences, Feli. And, yeah, Christmasland is a little less intimidating a title than NOS4A2 is! 😂🎅🏻

I’m the same way on The Terror too, Adamus.

Hoping you like N0S4A2. It's fun, funny, an adventure, creepy and...christmasland!!
And yes, audiobook is very highly recommended!

I like the cover of the English version better, mostly because I really have no clue what this should be...

Anyone any idea? Maybe I'll understand it after reading.

I agree with that, it seems people are divided when it comes to Joe Hill. Some love him and for others he's just 'meh'.
I heard about 'Horns' though.. I think there is a movie of it? Or am I confusing this with something else?

Normally there aren't, but the translation often is, well, not bad, but... there are moments when while reading you think "oh well, in English this sentence would make perfect sense, but the translator didn't get it's an idiom". But they do a great job for not enough money and way too less time to translate books by big authors.

I have no idea Feli! It's an interesting book cover though. Hope it will make sense when we start this. :D

That could be it. And this would fit with the license plate from the original cover. But then again, the form seems a bit strange.

Yea I’ve been dying to read that book looks really good just have to get over the size lol

Lol we should plan on doing that for a buddy read too

Hey! How are you? Hope everything is going good! Yea I can’t wait to start this I’m def looking forward to it

Yea the cover is a little odd not sure what that is either. & yes they made a movie from the book Horns the movie was actually pretty good too I enjoyed it.

I should also mention that I'm one of those crazy Joe Hill fans. Hope you all enjoy it!

That would be pretty kool if they made a show I just hope they don’t take away too much from the book. Have you read Joe Hills book The Fireman I’ve been wanting to tackle that titan also but all his books are super long lol

I love the Fireman! Don't let its size deter you. It goes quickly because it's action packed.
It looks like it will be a miniseries. There haven't been any updates lately, so it might end up falling through. It's supposed to be on AMC.

Yea his writing is pretty good. I’ve only read 1 of his books, but I like his writing so far. That Prologue tho was great! Can’t wait to see what happens next.

I thought the same on the prologue. It was a good start!

Excellent! I read the prologue (which is extra creepy, just like others said) and then up to the second section, Spicy Menace. Its very easy reading so far (and short chapters). So far, so good!

Definitely lol I kinda wish I was a kid again don’t have to worry about bills or taxes or anything!

That’s very true. I bought it when it came out and it was massive, but it sounded really good. I’ll def have to do that soon. I have Heart ashamed Box also, but haven’t read it yet. That would make for a really good mini series tho I would definitely watch that. I heard AMC is suppose to do a series about Dan Simmons book The Terror also hope it’s true! I like watching series of books I’ve read specially if they stick to the book
