Perfect, Nicole. It's a good story. Very Christmas themed and the material surrounding mystery is captivating. I can Start something tomorrow? If no joiners we can just run it at this thread?

Yes, please! FYI, for those of you not reading it I must disclose that I started this book yesterday morning intending to only read one chapter and I'm already about 1/3 of the way in - it's really good, and quite the page turner! ;-)
I'll pop up something generic later today, Nicole, unless we have another PI or guest to join in. It's all good. ;-)

Jill, they picked a Pennyfoot Hotel read as the official side read. I'm trying to get to it next but am still on main read. Then a few of us picked a side read off the voted titles and are doing this one off on our own so to speak. After 12 Days and Pennyfoot, I hope to get in Toy Soldier as another side read. There are several Dec. themed books we want to cover and are just having at it. If you'd like to start a Toy Soldier thread, please do and whoever has read the book or intends to can jump in any time.

If you like, that would be great, NicoleG. Thanks!

Don't worry about it! Now I understand why J left

J's leaving was mutual. There were more reasons than just title selections. In all fairness, the voting process was there for all to see. Line by line. You stopped in mid-voting; it wasn't finished yet. It seemed you had left and weren't interested any longer.
NicoleG's good enough to offer to run the chat for Toy Soldier. A discussion I hoped to be part of at Dec.'s end. I give up!

Bingo, Nicole! You laid it out succinctly. And I don't get it either. (Pennyfoot gets started mid-month or thereabout as voted). We all noted that there were several books we all wanted to read and we'd do that off to the side with whomever wanted to participate. As we are doing.
Thank you for confirming that, Nicole. Thought I was loosing my grip. lol But that is exactly what we planned.
I think the problem is that when one checks in once or twice a month, they just tune in to one or just a small part of the discussion (threads) and come away with an erroneous conclusion. That's nothing anyone can do anything about except the member them self.

I didn't say you quit voting. I said
that the voting was mid way through the process. It wasn't completed yet.

I'm not sure what to make of the side read votes.
I see:
2 for Toy Soldier
2 for No Clue at the Inn
1 for Mistletoe Manor
I vote for No Clue at the Inn, making it the winner.>/u>
Any objections?
Let's start with HP's Christmas first, though.

No objections here! :-)

Majority wins. My only objection is that there aren't enough hours in the day to read Christmas mysteries!! There's about 10 I'd love to tuck into! lol
Good yob, Mon...Pghfan! That was a task! Thank you!

If we no longer have interest in Pennyfoot, I wouldn't mind switching it out for Toy Soldier. Is anyone left for Pennyfoot out of the original voters? The one gal has been MIA for a few weeks now and appears no longer interested. When I get on my more reliable computer tomorrow, I can see who's left. I for one did not have it as my pick but did support it when the majority won the tally.
It's clear HP's Christmas was main read, Pennyfoot side read. Toy Soldier didn't make the cut. But NicoleG is good enough to run it in a side read. Makes everyone happy!
Jill, let us know if you are up for Toy Soldier being discussed as a side read. Thanks!

If anyone is interested in discussing it, please post your "I'm In" under this thread. Thanks!
