I have books for X and Z, BDB 4 and 8 but am looking for something new. If nothing clicks, will do a reread of those.

Hmm... Though one! There is Quin in Seeker, but I only know of this book because a friend told me how much she hated it :D

Quentin from The Magicians series by Lev Grossman. I'm doing character names too.

Is it good? I have seen reviews with low ratings for this series.

I thought it got better with each book and I loved the final book. The first book was a little tough because the MC is kind of depressing and has so much angst.
