Yep. I missed all of them. You?

http://www.tasteofcinema.com/2017/10-...
Appalled that any film maker was inspired by Carnival of Souls. I saw this first on MST3K and can't imagine watching it straight.

Iron Man - totally agree
Burn After Reading - would've rated it higher than 7.0
Four Weddings and a Funeral - rated it 9 or 10!
Titanic - totally agree
Avatar - totally overrated movie
Gran Torino - superb movie, would rate it higher!
What are your thoughts? The other movies on the list I haven't seen.

Some of my favorites in similar category are; Memento, Donnie Darko, Shutter Island, Inception, Twelve Monkeys, The Machinist, Blade Runner, Minority Report, The Prestige and Predestination (which I dont understand till date),
Also, interesting list, will definitely watch some of them including Primer and Cloud Atlas.

Definitely! I lived in an old Victorian house where tree limbs brushed my upstairs window at night in the wind.

I've not seen any of these but maybe that's because I like a plot in my films. However, Koyanaaqatsi (sp?) is one of my mom and brother's favorites.

10 Great Movies To Watch If You Liked “Game of Thrones”
http://www.tasteofcinema.com/2017/10-...
I love GoT, but not becaus of the fantasy elements. To me, the dragons - while impressive - draw away from an incredible cast of characters and great plot twists.
#1 - The Lord of the Rings Trilogy - excellent adaptations (and yet another example of a doomed Sean Bean), but I think it is quite different from GoT
#3 - Dragonslayer - Damn! I actually remember seeing this in the cinema. I guess it has some good comparisons. A girl who wants to be a boy. A princess taking responsibility for her people. I have to admit it is one of the best dragon films I've ever seen.
#9 - Henry V - loved this film. The Falstaff scenes are quite fun and the film stars a child actor named Christian Bale.

#6 - Logan Lucky - I want to see this if only for Daniel Craig's performance.
#1 - The Lost City of Z - After reading the book, I do want to check this out

#8 Widows -
"This year’s Widows is a heist thriller about the widows of 4 killed armed robbers who decide to finish the job their husbands couldn’t complete. It’s based on an obscure British television drama from 1983. It will be mightily interesting to see what McQueen gathers from this source material and what he moulds it into."
Wow! Yes, please!
#6 - First Man
"First Man is a biographical drama, based on the book of the same name, about the life of astronaut Neil Armstrong. It will focus on the true story of NASA’s mission to land on the moon, and how Armstrong became the first man to set foot on the alien surface. Chazelle is reuniting with La La Land‘s Ryan Gosling, hoping this will yield similar results; perhaps also a sign that this won’t be a straight biopic with such a ubiquitous star appearing as Armstrong."
Definitely looking forward to this one. Though I'm not sure about Gosling.
#3 - Isle of Dogs
It's got dogs!!
#2 - Annihilation
"The former used his own screenplay but his latest utilises strong source material in Jeff VanderMeer’s novel: in it a biologist journeys into an environmental disaster zone with three other scientists after her husband returns unexpectedly from a previous expedition greviously injured. There are notable shades of Ridley Scott’s Alien (1979) and Andrei Tarkovsky’s Stalker (1979) in Annihilation, not bad science-fiction films to share similarities."
#1 - The Man Who Killed Don Quixote
"It will come as an immense relief to fans of Terry Gilliam (and certainly to the man himself) that his long-gestating adaptation of the Spanish novel Don Quixote is set to finally make it to screens this year.
A passion project if ever there was one, Gilliam has been trying to get his film made for nearly two decades. In many respects, the director mirrors the titular hero of the source novel: a noble man so intent on undoing the wrongs of the world and bringing justice to proceedings that he valiantly attempted to make his film eight separate times in 18 years before realising his dream, in the worst example of development hell ever encountered. It’s been, clearly, quite the quest. Adam Driver heads up this final iteration, a strong choice considering his ever-growing star and shining charisma.
The screenplay is quirky, too, not surprising from the director responsible for Brazil (1985) and The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (2009): an ad executive is transported back in time to 17th century Spain, becoming squire to Don Quixote. There will be much goodwill, naturally, for Gilliam and this film, and one can only hope that the results are spectacular after so much wait."
Gulp!
