Why doesn't Magnus Chase EVER use his super powers?

Lucas 6 K so first thing is first he uses healing all the time but he has many others. Just a few quick examples are like when he used the sunlight to tear through rock and petrified Blitzen, or his super strength or his abilities to literally knock the weapon out of peoples hands. Also what powers do you think could develop in the future for him.
