Manuel (auroraelux) | 1 comments Hi everyone!
My name is Manuel.
My favorite beverage has to be either orange or pineapple juice. Tea for something hot.
I don't know who is my most read author really, I'm more fond of specific books or series than authors, based on Goodreads I would say Virginia Woolf (love her).
Oh, tough one, I'll say pie, specially lemon pie.
I am from Chile, Santiago specifically.

Hello Manuel! I picked the phrasing of most read rather than favorite specifically because it is interesting how many books I have read personally by authors who I would not call my favorites.

message 354: by Teresa (new)

Teresa Dingle Hi! My name is Teresa and I'm from South Africa. My favorite beverage is dry red wine. My most read author is J.K. Rowling. (I actually make it a point not to read too much of the same author, even if I really like their work.) Cake all the way. (Here in South Africa pies are generally savoury and are packaged for an individual serving :).)

Jully (jullyzhu) Hi everyone! My name's Jully pronounced Julie and I'm from Texas! I'm 23 and I'm so glad I came across this group. I was checking out the discussions and I'm currently reading Anna Karenina. Reading through the comments of that particular thread and finally being able to see someone else talk about the book has been such a joy. I'm hoping to enjoy many more books with y'all from now on! Also I have a dog and a cat and they're the same coincidentally the same colors (black and white!). My favorite author growing up was Fitzgerald. Now, it's still Fitzgerald but i have a lot more almost favorite authors haha anyway. Hi. Bye.

Kylie H | 1 comments Hello! My name is Kylie, and I currently live in Texas. I’m going to have to give a non-answer and say that my favorite drink choice and whether or not I prefer cake or cookies depends entirely on my mood and what my choices are. I’ve been reading a lot of Neil Gaiman and Charles Stross lately, but I recently have decided to revisit some of the banned books lists and work my way through those.

Sarah (sarahsweetz25) | 1 comments Hi everyone,

I' m Sweetly ( pen name - Sarah) from India. I am an entrepreneur by passion in Medical Field - UK based for the past 12 years and by profession I am a teacher. I am an avid reader of books.

I am basically here as a flashlight to help my best pal. Also I am here to learn a lot from all established authors and their esteemed works.

I do plan to eventually come out with a self-published book in Children's Literature in November of 2018 and an enchanting and thought-provoking script that has the potential to be made into a movie. I enjoy gardening and I am currently pursuing a new hobby knitting.

I love Coffee.

I prefer chocolate chip cookies.

I am currently reading Wooed by you- Sophia Knightly

Looking forward for help and guidance.

:-)

Mario the lone bookwolf (mariothelonebookwolf) Hi!

I am 32, from Austria and totally into science fiction, fantasy, humor and science topics and always trying to widen my range.
I try to read as many different authors as possible. But I fail because of a serious lack of consequence so that I often get stuck with series. I really try to avoid that trap.

I have read many of the old and new science fiction, humor and fantasy authors and series. The old ones are sometimes harder to read and I am lazy.
And there are not many easier Titans of my favorite genres left I can read.
With the new ones I have the problem that I don´t certainly know how good they will be. And I don´t want to be the one who runs in the blade of an unsatisfying read. A lack of altruism I guess.
Instead, I wait until the book has enough positive reviews on which I can rely. That´s not gentleman style, I know.
But I cherish people who sacrifice themselves for the sake of other readers with uncertain, newly published books. There should be monuments build for them.

I think the best way to read good books is to cooperate with readers who have similar reading interests. And in the brilliant concept of Goodreads to connect this knowledge to rankings and lists.
I base most of my reading choices on Listopia and have never regretted it. Human swarm intelligence is on its rise.

Best regards

R.S. Merritt | 2 comments Does anyone ever see anything besides Pie? It's obviously the best. So I've lived in a couple of lighthouses, I've written a dozen or so full length books, I like horror and fantasy. Don't really have a nickname... Orson Scott Card is up there on my favorites list... Looking forward to an amazing Holiday Season!
