I just finished The Ship of Brides by Jojo Moyes. The book is about the plight of women on a war ship going from Australia to Europe to be with their military husbands. It was a very interesting story and a part of history I didn't know much about since it wasn't really covered in social studies classes.

I read the nonfiction book The Mayor of Mogadishu: A Story of Chaos and Redemption in the Ruins of Somalia. I realized early on that I actually knew very little about Somalia. I learned a lot from this book. It really made me want to go there someday.
