Fran | 12278 comments Hi everyone!
I love seeing all of these great recommendations! I have added quite a few to my own tbr!

Reminders have been sent out to those who haven't posted their recommendations yet. Pam and MountainKat are working on theirs, so I didn't include them.

As of now it looks like I may need a few volunteers for re-picks tomorrow morning. Picks are due by 11 am US EST. If you will be available at that time or very shortly after that, and would like to help, please post here in this thread.

Thank you!

Sorry it took so long for me to make your picks - you have a lot of really good suggestions on your TBR list! I added some new to you books, but most are from your TBR list. Happy Reading!

1. It's a great time to try something new!-
Always Room for Cupcakes (Cupcakes, #1) by Bethany Lopez This one is actually new to me too, but a coworker suggested it to me - and well the title itself sounds fun!

2. It's also a great time to start something new that could lead to more new somethings-
Bad Boys After Dark Mick (Bad Boys After Dark, #1; Billionaires After Dark #5; Love in Bloom #47) by Melissa Foster This author is amazing! I haven't read this book yet but I have read others in the series.
Feral Sins (The Phoenix Pack, #1) by Suzanne Wright Another new one for you; I am a big big fan of Suzanne Wright & usually I can be found anxiously awaiting her next book.

3. Why not try a brand new release in the new year?-
Hard Wood by Lauren Blakely You had another Lauren Blakely book on your TBR list so I thought you might enjoy this one too.

4. I bet those recently added titles are what you are looking forward to most in the new year-
Save a Truck, Ride a Redneck (Southern Eclectic, #0.5) by Molly Harper I have to be honest - I saw this on your TBR and added it solely for the title! It was enough to capture my interest.
Luck, Love & Lemon Pie by Amy E. Reichert This was another recent addition to your TBR list that looked like a fun read.

5. January is the first month of the year-
Voyager (Outlander, #3) by Diana Gabaldon I actually just got the first book of this series for Christmas and have been so excited to start it.
Afterglow by Catherine Coulter This one looked really good and I actually ended up adding it to my TBR list.

6. You may have stayed up late on New Year's Eve and just want a shorter story or book to start off the year-
The Silver and Gold Deception- A Carter Sister Mystery by Brenda Bradley I wasn't quite sure what constituted as a short book but this one is just over 100 pages apparently, that's short right?

7. The new year is filled with promise and hope-
Leave It to Cleavage by Wendy Wax I'm very interested in how this book is because it sounds hilarious!

8. There seem to be a lot of college football bowl games on t.v. on New Year's Day-
The Perfect Stroke (Lucas Brothers #1) by Jordan Marie Not your average sports romance - it's actually about golf but it counts as a sport - but I recently read it and thought it was very good.

Nancy H | 1111 comments Hi Scarlett,
I finished my first pick Afterglow Afterglow by Catherine Coulter , and it was good. It was an older book that has been sitting on my shelves forever, and since it was short, I decided to kick off the month with it. It is funny and of course predictable, but a pleasant read nonetheless. (Although I can't see today's women accepting the machinations of the hero at one point, but suspending disbelief always works!) Thanks for the push to read it!

Hey ☘KathyD☘,

here is my current update:

Rock Chick (Rock Chick, #1) by Kristen Ashley it's ★★★ (more 2,5 actually): the book is super funny and I liked Liam a lot, but Indy became my perfect depiction of TSTL heroine

It Takes Two to Tumble (Seducing the Sedgwicks, #1) by Cat Sebastian it's ★★★★: this book is OMG, where to start? Great characters with baggage, well defined personality and a bit of attitude. Their romance is a bit bittersweet and feels very real, the writing is also top notch. So why just 4 stars? Because a proper epilogue is missing...and I craved it, and now I have to wait till July for the sequel (which is not about them though).

Desperately Seeking Santa by Eli Easton also ★★★★: a brilliant follow-up of Superhero.

Frog by Mary Calmes ★★★★: I wanted to read this for a while but hesitated to put it on my to-read shelf. Thank you for picking it, it's been quite a cosy read.

The Perfect Play (Play by Play, #1) by Jaci Burton only ★★ (more a 1.5): well, what to say...nor the story or the characters are bad, there is just too much sex. There is basically only sex with a bit of story on the side, which is a pity because I would have enjoyed it otherwise.

So far it's been a great reading month, coming up next are Ethan, Always, and Nuts.

Carrie! loved Before the Devil Breaks You & really liked Warcross🎧- it had a Leroy Jenkins joke ☺️- a laugh kinda bubbled out of me at that point- got some really weird looks from strangers- so thanks!😉
Next on the docket are Slammed & Heist Society- enjoying both so far- Thanks!
