Hi Rachel C!

I read Blurred Lines and then went on to read the next three in the serial...Blurred Lines: Volumes 1-4. I also read Desperately Seeking Santa. I liked them both- thanks for the push to get them off my tbr!

Scarlett Ian (scarlett_ian) | 160 comments Hi Sarah!
So far I have read 3 of my picks;
Lumberjack Love - this was the short read so I started with it. Very steamy & very quick to get through. I have read other J.L. Beck books so I was very happy this one got picked for me.

His Virgin - I read the second book in this series first (which absolutely drove my OCD tendencies crazy) so I knew I'd get to this one soon. I've like every Vivian Wood book I've read so now I can't wait til I get to book #3.

Axel - oh goodness, what can I say about this one? Great, great read & I'm glad you suggested it. I don't think I had previously read anything by Harper Sloan but now I have added the other books in the series to my TBR list.

On to the next ones...

Elke (ejurca) | 1810 comments Carina,

Read 3 picks over the last week....went on a cruise for my 40th! :D

Marrying Winterborne (The Ravenels, #2) by Lisa Kleypas - pretty good, will continue with the series!

Alec Mackenzie's Art of Seduction (MacKenzies & McBrides, #9) by Jennifer Ashley - liked it a lot!

One Reckless Summer (Destiny, #1) by Toni Blake - it was ok, my first Toni Blake book.

On to pick #5?

Hey ☘KathyD☘,

I read

Ethan (Alluring Indulgence, #5) by Nicole Edwards ★★★★ liked it a lot (steamy but with a lot of feelings). I am not sure if I want to continue with the series though.

Nuts (Hudson Valley, #1) by Alice Clayton ★★★ it was ok, but I couldn't connect with the h much. She was too pig-headed, self-centered, and fixated on her preconceived idea of love. I will not continue with the series as I am afraid the other h are a lot similar.

Always by Kindle Alexander ★★★★ this one is a tear-jerker...so sweet, poignant, and full of passion. I really cried a lot towards the end and I wasn't able to start reading another book for an entire day (which is a rare event for me). Why not 5 stars then? Because I found the epilogue to be a bit of a cruel blow, both to the reader and to the side characters (I understand this might sound a bit crazy, but I tend to connect a lot when the characters feel quite real). I would have preferred a less cutting ending.

This has probably been my most prolific PIFM month so far. So thank you again for putting together such an engaging and entertaining selection :)

TWO for me now, Rebecca!
1. It's a great time to try something new!
NEW ~ [book:Hate to Want You|29422692] ★★★★ 4 very satisfying stars! Don't you know I'm already waiting on book 2!
Hate to Want You (Forbidden Hearts, #1) by Alisha Rai

5. January is the first month of the year-
TBR ~ Idol ★★★★★ OMG... I could not put this one down! Straight to my faves and both devil horns raised high! Solid story, awesome characters and writing style (this author wrote the Firelight series), lots of rock music and love for music in general and did I mention hottie rock stars? Yeah... I might have a new literary crush now...
Idol (VIP, #1) by Kristen Callihan

Thank you for the picks. I've got six more potentially to finish this month....

message 169: by Pam (new)

Pam | 1048 comments Hi Lauren--
So I have definitely finished The Navy SEAL's E-Mail Order Bride (The Heroes of Chance Creek, #1) by Cora Seton which had a lot of things going for it. The cover for one. Being free on kindle was another. I liked the small town as community and liked both main characters. I'm not sure why Mason felt he had to pay his uncle's debts or even why the town would expect him to and I'm not sure the underlying premise isn't ridiculous but I would read more in the series. Thanks for moving this off my TBR!

I hope to finish one more this month but the reading has been slow.

message 170: by True.magic (new)

True.magic | 128 comments Hi Pam ..

I just finished reading all the books at post # 144 .. I liked the sense like i participation in the Marathons race and try to get first place .. But I did not like reading this number of romantic books in one month, which made me read some books without concentration and without any feeling of the story so I will certainly re read it again. In general, I like most of the selected books and I will definitely participate again to this challenge.

Thanks for the picks!

I looked up Wanderlust and am gonna have to read that one now too. Thank you for the recommendation!

I'd also recommend Listen to Me Listen to Me (Fusion, #1) by Kristen Proby and Lick Lick (Stage Dive, #1) by Kylie Scott if you haven't already gotten to them.

2. The Cowboy's Valentine Bride by Patricia Johns love this kind of romance the kind that gives you a feeling of butterflies in your chest and i don't mind to reread it again and again.
3. Heir Untamed (Latvala Royals, #1) by Danielle Bourdon I love this sort of romance books mixed with some mystery, action and suspense.
4. Just This Once (Escape to New Zealand, #1) by Rosalind James I love the plot from the beginning when Drew Callahan save her until the end of the story when she face the fact that she can't live without him in her life and all the action she did in the game to let him know her feeling.
5. Rainshadow Road (Friday Harbor, #2) by Lisa Kleypas after reading Christmas Eve at Friday Harbor (Friday Harbor, #1) by Lisa Kleypas i decided to read all the Friday Harbor Series.

Thank you Pam for the picks i love most of it.

message 189: by Sonja (new)

Sonja (sonjac) | 1364 comments Well, Rebecca, I managed 4, possibly 5 of your recommendations. I definitely wanted to get to more, but RL got in the way as usual. I got more read this month than I thought I would!
1. Hate to Want You (Forbidden Hearts, #1) by Alisha Rai ★★★★
2. Idol (VIP, #1) by Kristen Callihan ★★★★★
3. Down Home Cowboy (Copper Ridge, #8) by Maisey Yates ★★★★
4. Changing the Game (Play by Play, #2) by Jaci Burton ★★★

Hoping to get The Dancing Master by Julie Klassen before Wednesday!

My fave was definitely Idol (VIP, #1) by Kristen Callihan ! But then again, I'm still waiting on Nuts (Hudson Valley, #1) by Alice Clayton , Villain (Hero, #1.5) by Samantha Young and Taking Shots (Assassins, #1) by Toni Aleo from my slow-poke library. I actually have Big Little Lies, Wicked White and Beautiful Disaster in my personal library, but I find I always end up reading what I have to return before I get to ones I own...

Anyway, thank you again so much for the picks!

I was able to get three books done this month. That Thing You Do, Don't Tempt Me, and No Darker Place.

They were all okay, nothing truly great but nothing terrible. Since they were all on my TBR list, I'm to blame for the duds. Sometimes I think my expectations are too high and that's why I'm so easily disappointed :(

That Thing You Do by Kayti McGee Don't Tempt Me (Guthrie Brothers #1) by Lori Foster No Darker Place (Shades of Death, #1) by Debra Webb .

The V Card by Lauren Blakely and Lili Valence 1.27.18 - So sweet!

Drunk Dial by Penelope Ward 1.29.18 - I enjoyed this, even though some of it was pretty unbelievable if it were real life - good thing it was romance!
