Our first quarterly challenge is a release date chellenge. :D
Rules
*Books must be read and reviewed from January 1st to March 31st.
*Five detailed status updates can be used in place of a review.
*Books must be 100 pages to count.
*Manga/graphic novels will not count.
*Buddy reads must take place within our group.
*You must make at least 5 comments on a buddy read to get BR points.
Points
*Two points for every book completed in the bolded categories below, one point for every other category
*One point for every buddy read that takes place within our group (you must leave five comments on the thread for it to count)
*Two points for reading and participating in the group book of the month discussion (must leave five comments on the thread to count)
*Five points for every 1000 pages read
Categories
1. read a new release book (Jan-March 2018)
2. read a book released in the months January - March (any year)
3. read a book with an author whose name (first or last) starts with J, F, M
4. read a book that has a couple (2 people) on the cover
5. read a book with a red or pink cover
6. read a book with a green or white cover
7. read a book with a hot beverage on the cover
8. read a book with a bird on the cover
9. read a book with a heart on the cover or in the title
10. read a book with a clover on the cover or in the title
11. read a book that starts with LOVE, LUCK, or SPRING
12. read book set at New Years
13. read a book that features Valentines Day or Sy. Patty's Day
14. read a book set during winter or spring
15. read a book that features a love triangle
16. read a book featuring an African American
17. read a book that features a protest, civil rights issue, etc
18. read a book about a war
19. read a book categorized historic
20. read a book categorized horror/thriller/mystery
21. read a book categorized romance
22. read a book tagged 'sports'
23. read a new to you author
24. read the last book in a series
25. read a book over 500 pages
26. read a book with a genre out of your comfort zone
27. read a with a female MC
28. read a book about a hobby you have or want to start
29. read a book not originally published in your 1st language
30. read a book about a powerful figure or someone in politics
