Alisia (meniali) | 248 comments I'm not signing up because I just don't have time right now, but I want to say this is a very unique challenge! I LOVE IT, I hope to see it back next year, or maybe later on as a quarterly? So awesome!

Me too. I’m currently doing six challenges and that’s four too many. I hope to see this challenge come back later this year, then I’ll read The Devil Wears Prada (INFJ character).

message 56: by Eddy (new)

Eddy Ainsley (eden_ainsley) | 35 comments Finished Great Gatsby now 3 more to go

message 57: by Megan (new)

Megan (lahairoi) | 7470 comments Just completed my first book with a character matching my personality, Cat the Black Queen - The Eight by Katherine Neville. I love books that make me think and books that teach me something. It's even better when it's entertaining. This book accomplished all three! My only critique is that there were portions that were confusing and could have been edited a touch better. Definitely worth reading! 4.5 stars

Debbie (debelizlam) | 12 comments I'm an INFJ. I'll go for one: Jane Eyre. (although I saw another post that saw Jane Eyre's character as being another personality - might be a good point for discussion!)

Thanks!

Debbie (debelizlam) | 12 comments Rachel wrote: "I believe I am an INFP, and I will read Jane Eyre, since the main character shares my type. That is my 1 book for this challenge."

Hi Rachel!
I'm an INFJ - and I found on this website that Jane Eyre was also an INFJ: https://www.personalitymax.com/person...

I love that you're reading this too and I think we will have much to discuss to determine which we think she is!

message 67: by Lisa (new)

Lisa Grønsund | 6163 comments Wow, I've only been gone a few days and I am so behind on updating this challenge!

Okay so, first things first: Happy New Year Everyone! I hope you all had great holidays and have started the new year with a bang :)

Secondly, welcome to all newcomers to the challenge! I see we've got a variety of personalities and some great books to match. I hope you enjoy and I can't wait to read your opinions on the books you've chosen.

Also, I would like to congratulate Mie, Megan and Eden on already completing their first books for this challenge :)

I've just updated the list with everyone's progress thus far. Please let me know if I've overlooked anyone! Happy reading!

Hey Annika and welcome to the challenge :)
You mention four books but I only see you've listed three? Do you have any idea what the last will be?
I hope you enjoy The Hound of the Baskervilles. It's easily one of my favorite Sherlock Holmes cases.

Thank you Meghan, for sharing yet another great list! Have you figured out what your second book will be, besides Anne of Green Gables?
Good luck with your challenge this month :)

Hi Pamela and Alisia, I'm thrilled that you both like the concept of the challenge and I wish you had the time to join us, but that's life. Can't have it all :)
I doubt the challenge will be back later in the year as there are always so many amazing challenge ideas. Optionally, you could perhaps have it as a personal challenge? That's what I try to do whenever a challenge that interests me doesn't fit my schedule. Just a thought!

message 71: by Lisa (new)

Lisa Grønsund | 6163 comments Eric wrote: "if anyone can recommend james patterson or daielle steel books bring them on"

Hi Eric,
Unfortunately I can't recommend any books from those authors as they aren't in my repertoire. Hopefully some of the other members will have some suggestions :)

Are you interested in joining this month's challenge? And if so, how many books would you like to read? :)

message 72: by Joey (Eppic) (last edited Jan 04, 2018 09:35PM) (new)

Joey (Eppic) Epperson (eppic) | 49 comments I am late to this party, but gonna try it. I was INTJ last time I took it, im not going to pay to take it again even though I have had some personality changes...will update as I figure all this out. LOL
*EDIT* well i took the free version and WOW...what a difference 4 years makes. I am now ENTP...I would argue that point, but I think that would just prove it right... ROFLMAO
So the ENTP characters are:
Rocket Racoon:
Iron Man:
Deadpool:
So do I pick stories they may be in? or characters LIKE them? I guess I confuse easily...
I will read 1 book once I know what I am doing...just to get my feet wet.
I have read The Martian, so I like characters like this...any suggestions?
Thanks

I'm ENTP too. The characters I picked are Tyler Durden, Joker and a woman from a book I wanted to read for a while, as they're all supposed to be ENTP. I guess it is rather improbable to actually tell the personality type of a fictional character. We can assess their responses to certain things but it isn't like we observe them in day to day life, or something. It is fun though, so I'll go along with it.

Hi Samantha, I'm assuming you're not going to read all those books. How many would you like to put you down for? Keep in mind you can change your goal later on in the month if you want :)

Have a great weekend and happy reading!

message 98: by Aysha (new)

Aysha (ayshabee) I am so late to the challenge, but I am going to give it a shot anyways :)

I am an INFJ-T/Advocate personality type and I have either already read or am not interested in the books I kept seeing suggested elsewhere. But I did stumble across a site that offered suggestions for books that people of my personality type would enjoy, so I am going with that...assuming that falls under the rule for the challenge.
I am going for 2 books:
Daughter of Smoke & Bones, which is completely out of my wheelhouse and The Book Thief.
