I prefer to read the book first, too. I'm trying to get my grandson to read Ready Player One before the movie comes out in March. He's 19 and a gamer, so will probably really enjoy the book.

That's one of those books I've been meaning to read forever!
I remember reading this book when I was in 6th or 7th grade in the early 60s. I really should read it again.
I have seen some reviews call it childish. Would you agree Cherrie? Bear in mind i am a Potter addict!!
You can't ask me that, Margo. :o). I still love the Mushroom planet books! It was a different time then. I loved the girl in the story and her little brother. I read HP with my granddaughter. She is 26 now.

Every time I read Potter now (or any Dahl especially Danny the Champion of the World), without the sense of perpetual anxiety, angst and insecurity common in teenage years, I'm filled with even more wonder. The sense of being grounded as an adult makes one explore an even wider array of adventures and imagination hidden in children's book.
Do give A Wrinkle in Time a chance.
