DO y'all go to the movies?

I want to see the new western that's coming - Hostiles - I love Christian Bale and Rosamund Pike.

Also another movie - Phantom Thread- caught my eye but Daniel Day Lewis in it and he just grosses me out. ugh!

Bailey Grimm I've seen the new Star Wars and loved it. I've seen Pitch Perfect 3 which was really fun and good. I just watched the Greatest Showman this Sunday. IT IS AMAZING! The soundtrack is amazing, the acting is amazing, the story makes you laugh and cry. It's my new favorite.

What did you think of Pitch Perfect 2??

The Greatest Showman is interesting but I don't care for that girl in it.

message 54: by Bailey (new)

Bailey Grimm Pitch Perfect 2 was my least favorite out of all of them. The songs weren’t as good and the storyline wasn’t as fun or engaging.

Aren't these women getting a little OLD to play college students??

Stephanie (ssperanz) | 8 comments Hi! I just finished binge watching GLOW on Netflix and I am OBSESSED. I need season 2 right now. It's witty, interesting, and has such a refreshing focus on female relationships and friendships and its just soooo good. Really quick too with just 10 eps (I think? maybe 13) and they're a half hour each!

message 58: by Bailey (new)

Bailey Grimm I’ve been seeing that quite a bit and it looks good. Is it more funny or serious

message 59: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie (ssperanz) | 8 comments Definitely more funny! It has it's dramatic moments but I find them to be very well balanced. I usually drift towards dramatic, heart breaking shows and GLOW is like a perfect palette cleanser.

message 60: by Bailey (new)

Bailey Grimm I’ll have to check it out

I just finished watching Furious 7. I was crying at the end. I'm such a baby!

Bailey Grimm I cry at the littlest things sometimes in movies and shows and even books

Today I watched 3 episodes of 911. It's good. Right now I'm watching Bellevue on WGN. It's a cop show with Anna Pacquin. I think it's Canadian.

We're going to see A Midsummer Nights Dream. If nothing else, I'm going to like the cocktails we're having afterwards, lol! But the trailer looked good, so my hopes are up. (My friend is bringing opera glasses because 'did you see how thight their clothes are?!' )

If I am remembering correctly, they tried or wanted to bring it up but they cannot without totally destroying it.

Did anyone watch YOU on Lifetime last night? It's a series based on the book - You (You, #1) by Caroline Kepnes by Caroline Kepnes. I recorded it. I think I want to read the book first.

I've not watched the show, but I did really like the book. :)

Suzanne | 50 comments I saw the movie Crazy Rich Asians and found it very entertaining. Beautiful, over the top scenery. I've had the book on my TBR forever, so now I'm inspired to get around to reading it.

I started reading it and it was so racist and moneyist?? I stopped reading it. But now after seeing the movie trailers, I'm wondering if it's a WAY over the top portrayal.

I love that girl that played the friend - she was on Girl Code and always funny.

Has anyone seen the trailer for A Star Is Born? I want to see it!! I love Lady Gaga.

I'm going to read A Simple Favor too. I'll wait for the movie to come on pay TV. I'm not a big fan of Anna Kendrick.

Dr. Who started again here in the US. I can finally watch it again. I did not care for the last actor to play the Dr.

I like Jodie Whittaker. I liked her in Broadchurch.

my sister watched the first episode with the new Doctor, and she said it was a bit too much but promising

I stopped watching shortly after the production was sold to the US, didn't care for the course it took
