Righty hoo then, I think we can call this one done and dusted.

First off...greetings and warmest felicitations for the new year..hope you all had a lovely festive break.....now let's get this extended round wrapped up.

Can't remember the last time, we had a round, where most of the noms only scored single digit points, with just the one outright winner zooming way into the lead with a decent score, which leaves me thinking that perhaps folks weren't impressed with this round's playlist.

However, storming way ahead of the competition with her superb nomination...The Death Of You And I by Isaac Gracie, & the only song to score over a score, this round's winner is Helen! Excellent choice Helen, you played a royal flush with that one!

Which leaves the two runners ups...straining the see the dust wake left behind from the winner, & having only scored 12 & 11 points respectively; in 2nd place with Thirty by The Weather Station , nominated by Sussex, and finally, 3rd place is awarded to The Deepest Sighs, The Frankest Shadows by Gang Of Youths, nominated by Val.

Not a bad round all told, however, as I've mentioned above, with only 13 votes in in an week of voting time, I'm getting the impression that perhaps folks were either preoccupied with other things, or didn't enjoy this round much. Also, the number of noms are beginning to drop, and as I don't have many left to play myself, I think maybe we'll probably do one or two rounds more, then get back to doing the Themes once again. We'll see how things pan out over the next couple of rounds.

Frankly amazed at the love being shown to Isaac Gracie. But am comforted by the knowledge that that which is popular is very rarely good. ;)

I always find it strange that although we mostly have widely differing tastes, all represented in the noms, there’s usually an outright winner in these contests. I placed I.G. second but wouldn’t want to own any.

I never expect anything I nominate to do very well, so it's always a pleasant surprise to get a decent amount of points.

It depends on how people vote. Do you always use all your votes even if you find some tracks you vote for average or mediocre, or do you say, I don't reckon much to that, so I won't vote for it (even if doing so would help increase points for a track you do like)?

I never vote tactically, I only ever vote for things I like.

if i don't like a song i don't give it any love, jim. if the ones i do like suffer from that, then tough tamales, i have standards to maintain y'know! :)

I always vote the first song 5, next song gets a 5 and knocks the first one down, or gets a 4 and goes in second place and so on. Ending up with the top list of songs I like. So the first five songs always get votes ;)
