y (waiehse) | 55 comments Hey Christine!

Your first book is Behind the Beautiful Forevers: Life, Death, and Hope in a Mumbai Undercity! I just finished it a day ago and it is amazingly amazing. It's a non-fiction so it would add to your non-fiction challenge you mentioned in your about but it reads like prose. It's wonderfully heartfelt and extremely sad.

Your second book is Catch-22. A really funny read but still gets you thinking about cool literary stuff like the unreliability of narrators and the world in general.

Happy reading!

Behind the Beautiful Forevers Life, Death, and Hope in a Mumbai Undercity by Katherine Boo Catch-22 (Catch-22, #1) by Joseph Heller

message 44: by Jonel (new)

Jonel Lol. Finished The Silver Dream by Neil Gaiman on the weekend, but completely forgot to post about it here.

After all the good things I'd heard about the book I was a little disappointed. I still gave it a solid 3 stars, but expected more. Feel free to check out my review.

message 45: by Trinity (new)

Trinity I'm sorry you didn't like it, but you wrote a great review! :)

message 46: by Trinity (new)

Trinity I'm sorry you were disappointed is what I meant to say.

Jonel Trinity wrote: "I'm sorry you were disappointed is what I meant to say."

Yeah, I did like it. Gaiman is just one of those authors I'd heard so much about that I went in expecting way too much. I kinda set myself up for it. But it was still a great read. (I'm definitely someone who pouts if the book falls below 4 stars, even if I still enjoyed it).
