Ania | 14 comments I nominate Outlander by Diana Gabaldon Outlander (Outlander, #1) by Diana Gabaldon (the first book in the series) since the whole series has been brought to the screen by starz ...

message 56: by TCampbell (new)

TCampbell | 528 comments OK, I vote for a Wrinkle in Time as well. While I wouldn't mind reading Alias Grace, I have watched the first episode of the series and am not sure if I can stick with it. I do not find it as riveting as the Hulu adaptation of The Handmaiden's Tale.

message 57: by Lokigyrl (new)

Lokigyrl | 29 comments stick with Alias Grace the show, I promise it will start to keep your attention in an ep or so

It was made into a movie several years ago.

Jaqueline wrote: "i nominate The Fault in Our Stars"
I loved this book so much but since I can vote for only one I decided to go for one I still want to read.

message 60: by Bri (new)

Bri (readicculus) I hope it hasn't been done before, I wasn't able to find the list of previous group reads, so I apologize if this is an oldie.

I am interested in reading Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire. The book has had a Broadway adaptation that I saw with my Mom and Grandma and I just think it would be interesting to read the book, especially with the new movie adaptation planned for 2019. Again, sorry if it's been done!

The list is at the top of the page on the right side under bookshelf. I think you are fine, I didn't see Wicked listed.

I'm sorry, I'm new to the group and didn't know it had been done already. I don't see anyone else stating a "connection" so I thought my choice was obvious.

I'll pass on nominating anything else for now. Thank-you.

Winter (winter9) | 5003 comments I'm closing and posting poll now. I suddenly discovered it's 29th already. These last days has flown apparently!

Winter (winter9) | 5003 comments https://www.goodreads.com/poll/show/1...

Here it is! A great selection for the month. Some of you are probably wondering why The Zookeeper's Wife isn't there. It was seconded, so often it would be. But this month we had so many nomination and secondings. There were 11 seconded books which gets to go first. Only ten in poll though and it was the lowest ranked so it missed the poll.

Thanks for lots of nominations this month. Keep your eyes up for next nomination thread. I post it the 1st.
