Dina Goluza The first stop on my random travel is Japan.
I read Kitchen by Banana Yoshimoto.

It's short nice novel about love and home. The main character is girl Mikako. She is orphan raised by her grandmother. After her grandmother died, she is invited to stay at Tanabe Yuichi's house with him and his transsexual father-turned-mother Erico.

Dina Goluza The second station on my random travel is Colombia.
I read The Autumn of the Patriarch by Gabriel García Márquez.

It is a brilliant tale of a Caribbean tyrant and the corruption of power.

I read A Bend in the River by V.S. Naipaul.

Great but at the same time very disturbing book about life in central Africa in the period of independence.

Dina Goluza The fourth station on my random travel is Latvia .
I read The Dogs of Riga by Henning Mankell.

The plot takes place in Sweden and Latvia. Detective Wallander has the almost impossible task of investigating the murder of two unidentified men.

Dina Goluza The fifth station on my trip is Laos..
I read The Coroner's Lunch by Colin Cotterill.

The book is set in Laos 1976. The protagonist of this wonderful mystery is Siri Paiboun, a doctor who, rather than being able to enjoy a peaceful retirement at the age of 72, is made the country's only coroner.
